From Kursk to November 1943, s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 653 claimed 320 tanks killed from for the loss of 13 Ferdinands, or a 24/1 kill ratio.
653rd was very successful, better than most Tiger units.
For the history of the Ferdinand, it always gets a bad wrap for poor performance at Kursk. But the reality was a little different. Hilary Louis Dole gave an excellent synopsis.
Basically, he said the Ferdinand’s effectiveness came down to the tactics of which unit employed it . The s.Pz.Jg.Abt...
My eyes are the scourge of manufacturers! 😁
I say that completely in jest.
I just point out some of this stuff as constructive feedback so Matt & Co. can make future products even better.
My figure collection is 90% First Legion, so I’m a pretty huge fan.

There are a number of German training films on YouTube.
Here's one on Panzerjäger and Panzergrenadier tactics in how to seal off and defeat a Russian penetration of the German lines:
Here's one for the Panther. Kind of cool at one point it shows a Panther crewman opening the rear turret...
