I really love the accurate depiction of the rangers, it is something we don’t see a lot. I would love to see some period militia and civilians as well! They would make for a good raid vignette.

I sometimes have it combined with an older Britains Christmas set of three British soldiers drinking at a bar, and sometimes with a piece or two from the Florence Nightingale set.

Around ten years ago, a company called Open Fire run by a user who went by “Foxhole Adam” released a set depicting Henry Morton Stanley in both gloss and Matte finish. If anyone has one in either or both finishes (although Matte is my preference), I would be happy to pay a good price. Sandor

I have one as well, and I see no reason to not trust the company’s assertion of authenticity at the time. On top of that, as an antique dealer, I can tell you that it is easy to tell that it is oak and that it is very old.
