Well, it's true, three of the figures look very similar from the poses, here are the originals

on the video (part 2) of BigJohn from the London Toy Show you can probably see the next figures from the AK series, 4 new tank riders, mechanic and two new officers, if I'm not mistaken. They look good.

Found this old picture (July 2015) in a newsletter from TGM. Would have been a nice idea. I guess a desert Fort / building were in the pipeline too. Minor improvements (joints are far too large for my liking), Splitterbox is nice
