    Hi Trooper,
Saw that at the London Fair Yeomanry Miniatures were out again, please let me know if you know how to reach the retailer/collector/manufacturer to these great sets....
I would love to add some of those sets to my collection.
    Best Regards,

Morning Trooper ( or at least it is morning where I am)

You are British Army uniform expert and I have a question that you may be able to help me with. I acquired an early set of the Ducal Gordon Highlander military band. The brass band not the pipe band. The drum majors headdress sports a white plum like you typically see on Gordon's in full ceremonial dress . The bandsmen all sport red plumes which I have never seen on Gordon's. I have attempted to contact the Dukes to see if this was a painting error but have not received a response. None of my references mention any uniform variations for the band.

Are my band members sporting the wrong plumes ?
    Hi trooper
Just ashort thanks for the tip to buy the book you mentioned. Arrived from amazon today - and has already proved its worth by answeringat least two more questions for me.
    Many thanks - johnny
Hi trooper - just beginning to find my way around the web-site and came across this part. Not sure what I'm doing here! Thanks for all of your help and archive pictures of Highlanders/musicians etc - in the hunt for the earliest tenor drummer. Johnny

    Trooper,
You made me switch Kipling poems on my signature! Good job! As always, thank you for the Victorian/Edwardian miltrivia...fun,fun,fun!

What do you know about the Oxfordshire Yeomanry uniforms ? I read that Churchill and Marlborough were members. Also the troops were in Churchill's funeral. What did their dress uniform look like, colors ?
I'll be sending out a PM message later today to everyone who has supported me, once I get back from my usual visit to the K&C shop here in Hong Kong.

Hi Cardigan600, thanks for contact. Main interest B ritish Yeomanry and cavalry. Have spent many years trying to track down all yeomanry standards and guidons as these are poorly documented. Alan
Yo trooper, have not seen much of you. What is your main interest just looking at your thread on the Household Cavalry (very good) if you want to go on my friends list give me a shout, have just started putting four albums of Cavalry photo's up.
    Bernard.
