Hi Guys,

Last week I saw a little post showing a Confederate flagbearer produced by K&C back in the year 2000.

Well, here’s a closer look at the little 4 page leaflet we produced at that time to help promote this series.

As some of you may know this was our first ‘real’ attempt to produce a range of Civil War figures although we had produced a very limited number of ACW soldiers a few years before… all in traditional glossy finish.

These new figures however were produced only in matt paint finish, and there were quite a lot of them too! 20 x Union Soldiers plus a mounted officer then 15 x Confederate Infantry plus two mounted senior officers including Generals Lee and Jackson.

Add to that our own miniature ‘Burnside Bridge’. Not too bad for a first major break into Civil War territory!

Here’s hoping you enjoy this look back into a little piece of King & Country’s heritage…

All the best and happy collecting,
Andy

P.S. The little diorama base featured on the cover of this leaflet was designed and built by my brother, Gordon.

This was my first venture into K&C and I got all the figures and JG Miniatures made a scenic base for the bridge. Still got it all in storage in NZ.I even have the brochure!

Love your American Civil War range, Andy! Good to see this blast from the past. I never collected these older figures but I do have several of your later and more recent releases. I hope you venture back into this range at some point.

Got my sets from Fareham in the UK in those far off days. Almost as quick ordering direct from HK, but not quite.

Next stop for me was the early releases of the Coss and Crecent range. Different style to the ACW sets

EXCELLENT FIGURES ESPECIALLY THE RUNNING AND CHARGING YANKEES POSES ARE FABULOUS
