Hi
A very close friend recently left me a large part of his unpainted collection of 54mm Figures in his Will. I have been able to identify makers about 20% but am interested in some idea who may be the makers of the other. He would have been collecting 1960/70's
I attach a couple of photographs figures have very similar bases and are not "pegged" to them. Bases approx. 27mm dia. total height around 60 mm

Welcome to the forum! If these are 54mm, that is, 54mm from the top of a figure's head without headgear to the soles of its feet, my reflex reaction is that they are by Tradition. That's from the quality of the sculpting. But I need to take a closer look and look at some of my references to be sure. Others may have better IDs; Obee is one, because he paints kits and castings, too.

Are the bases cast integrally with the figures, that is, the figure and base are cast in one piece? Or are the figures cast separately and attached to the base with pegs? You might be able to tell if you look at the undersides of the base. Are there any markings under the bases, too?

Prost!

Thanks for the response yes they are true 54mm and cast with base and figure all as one piece.
Chose Character figures as thought they would be easier to find in catalogues.
It was a lot easier identify the Stadden / Lasset / Labayen

I'm not sure they depict specific people. But the figure on the right in the first pic is a Prussian Gardes du Corps cuirassier officer, and could be meant to be Kaiser Wilhelm II. The second from the right is Admiral Nelson. The one in the middle is a WWII German officer, and the second from the left is a British officer at the beginning of the 18th century. Could be Marlborough, though I can't be sure. The one on the left is a French marshal from the Napoleonic wars. In the meantime, you might want to look at Tradition's website, www.traditionoflondonshop.com and check out the catalogs.
I haven't had a chance to look yet, myself.
Prost!
Brad
