A compact vignette display of Soviet troops advancing during Operation Uranus in November 1942 on the Stalingrad front. The display features some classic First Legion pieces purchased as part of their big sale, including some winter Russians and the winter T-70 tank. I’ve had the green T-70 for years, but the winter version is a real gem!

I have always liked that small tank, it reminds me of a Smart Car or a Prius.
Panzer Ace, the T-70 is definitely an itty-bitty teeny-weeny tank 🤣 The historical vehicle had only two crew with the commander having to also be the gunner and loader, which isn’t an ideal arrangement…

But First Legion did an excellent job on both their T-70 models giving them excellent detail and weathering. They even put the periscope and latch on the underside of the commander’s hatch and the stowage pieces are a very nice touch. It is definitely one of their more underrated models.
