Trophy Sets That Never Were (But Should Have Been!) (2 Viewers)

Amazing what KI can do, I like the transformed sketch of the Gunboat. Could serve as a good base for a scratch building project. Still rather odd to put a swastika on a pre WW1 Geman boat,- you should have a word with your KI. Thank you for posting.

AI usually does pretty good work for me, but this time it missed one smokestack.

Unfortunately, AI still isn’t perfect and sometimes makes silly mistakes—known as hallucinations. But if you train it properly and use specialized text-to-image software like Leonardo AI or MidJourney, the results can be amazing. I just used a generic AI to generate this one, but I’ll try a professional tool next time—you’ll see the difference.

Thank you for your kind reply. I am still very impressed with your AI generated plans. As for the German Gunboat with a second smokestack added, a more realistic stern shape rather than the harbor tug style, the wheel house a little raised and both "look outs" (?) at port/starboard sides added would generate an almost perfect build plan. A top view of the deck as well as one of the waterline level would make it a perfect autum/winter scratch building project.
Thank you for your troubles.

Wolfgang, no problem at all—thank you for your input. If you ever need help with AI-generated sketches, blueprints, or ideas for new projects that AI can create, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line in a PM.

How about a WWI Kitchener figure? Len could have done a staff car like he did for Lord Roberts, or, even better, a figure from the famous Kitchener recruitment poster!

Len managed to make this staff car—and another one with Maharajas—for the RAJ range. I was always curious about the casting used for this Rolls-Royce-style vehicle, and some time ago I discovered that he used Rosedale castings to make these cars.

There was a dealer in the UK who had the moulds for these castings, and I bought two or three kits from him. I really wish I had bought more. I've often thought about having a custom-made car for different ranges—like the Boer War or Boxer Rebellion—maybe with a British sailor as the driver, but I could never find a painter who could match the solid Trophy paint style.

Maybe someday I’ll find the right one... the search continues!
