Nice set.
I do not think it is Britain's and it is almost certainly not Trophy or Tradition.
Both those latter two did make a Boer war naval gun and ox team

Thank you for your thoughts.

It looks like a Matte paint? So it looks like Boer War to you? Andy

Certainly looks more like a Boer war piece and a massive set. For me Andy, I am not a fan of the style of the figures as they would not blend in with my existing Boer and they are possibly 1/32 rather than 1/30. As a stand alone it would qualify as a ‘wow’ factor, but as too who made this Naval gun, hopefully someone else on the forum can identify it. Robin.

Dcome, you are RIGHT !!! I did some digging online and found it Do you have this set? Thank you, Andy

it is a Alymer AB-20 Boer War Cow Gun

Is the mounted figure in the first picture part of the set? The hat looks more like the one worn by the German Schutztruppe.

Prost!
Brad

Brad, the mounted figure is different in the first picture, as shown on eBay.
The second picture is from a boxed set from a auction house, so probably more accurate.

I enlarged them in My Documents for a better look.

Foot figures are slightly different also, maybe made different years.
I forget when Alymer was made, late 90's??? Andy

Yeah, there were a number of kit makers, and some figure makers, who made Schutztruppe figures. Monarch made kits, and I think Valiant did, too. And now that I think of it, Pickelhaube Miniatures made finished figures in his catalog. It's hard to tell, but it might be a Pickelhaube mounted officer.

Prost!
Brad

I have to take back my tentative ID of the figure in the slouch hat. The Schutztruppe hat had the right-hand brim turned up, not the left.

Prost!
Brad
