Hoping one day our good friend Andy will revisit this series. The desert water aspect of the campaign perhaps would be a great theme to revive interest. Anyone one concur? Robin.

Robin, I agree with your suggestion, as in one of the Lighthorse movies, they were attacking Beersheba for the Water wells I think.
Awesome diorama also, first time I have seen this one, Andy

Bought the first eight or so mounted releases plus Turk gun and a few infantry but lost interest. Got them from the sadly demised K&CUK when first released prior to emigration to NZ. A life time ago when married to my first wife. Probably had to sneak the purchases in.

When I left my job in Tassie they had a collection and one of my pressies was the K&C ALH mounted bugler. I now have 2 of the same figure unfortunately.

I fained delight as they had gone to such lengths to get me the leaving gift together with Black Wars book and beautiful Tassie framed print. I lied when they asked if I already had the figure. A rare occasion when telling the truth was not a good idea.

But Robin's post reminds me of a happy time spent on the Island, enjoying a unique and chilled few years living in a waterfront apartment, making many friends and enjoying a successful time at work as Tasmanias Deputy Auditor-General.

There always seem quite a few figures from this range still available and if I had endless funds would add to my small collection, but so much else to buy I will probably stick with what I have.

Robin has the ultimate collection though, seem to remember you had some kind of transport ship set up.

Interesting background Gary. K&C have some special prices on their website at the moment, which I plan to take advantage of, despite being duplicates to my collection. Just can’t resist this series even though there have been no new releases for years. Good memory Gary, I did have a steamer, but had to sell it with 11 of my series to downsize for a sea change location. I still remain hopeful Andy will revisit the Light Horse some day. Robin.

Hi Robin,
K&C will definitely revisit ‘The Light Horse’ in 2027!
All the best,
Andy.

Robin mate,

Like you, I have been adding more Light Horse to my collection. Some great prices on K&C website. Many thanks for your help in getting 7 x Loose Horses and 2 x Vickers Machine Gun sets. All retired and hard to find. Takes my total to 280 ALH sets. Also many thanks to Andy for that great heads up news for 2027 the 110th Anniversary of the Charge at Beersheeba.⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

Cheers Howard 🇭🇲🇭🇲🇭🇲🇭🇲

Must be catching Howard, just put in my order to K&C for the LH specials, plus at long last the Desert Village Stable. Here’s another shot, this time ‘The Observers’. Robin.
