Great to hear! I was on the fence but hearing that French cavalry are enroute I am getting caught up on the 28th Regiment of Foot.

I sure hope they are, so we complete the scene painted by Lady Butler in here famous painting of 28th Foot at Quatre-Bras.

By the way, I was in Melboune Victoria this week and while in the national Gallery of Victoria (NGV) this is what I saw ......







I hadn't realised it was here ....... Nice surprise ?????

Found my May releases parcel in the porch this morning, after a lie in. Cooked breakfast and then off to Modbury to see Gerry at the toy soldier emporium and picked up a box of Mignot Napoleonics. He loved the article in Toy Soldier Collector magazine on the shop.

A light lunch in a country pub on a beautiful Devon day. Back home for a spot of gardening in our wonderful English cottage style garden before a cheeky cider sat overlooking the Teign Valley.

My wife is cooking a chicken curry while I crack open those TG figures.

If only all Saturday's could be like this.

The latest addition to our FFL range includes a new officer with eye patch, Legion flag and pistol drawn.

Hi Guys, I hate to say but here we have a great artistic licensing and free hand that does not resemble the real and correct historic example of a French Foreign Legion Flag....Most likely what has happened is that someone with limited details of the Legion " Goggled " French Foreign Legion flag and came with what you now see....That is very unfortunate for those serious collectors that praise for accuracy or the eventual French Foreign Legionnaire that collects toy soldiers as we do...For a chunk of change at $65 I would have expected that the researcher would have checked some reference books or at least the French Foreign Legion page on Facebook....And in 5 minutes would have avoided the error...More than say let images speak for themselves....A bit dissapointed ....

The closest to what has been denominated the French Foreign Legion Flag, would be the pendant that the Regiments carry when on march, but that is a pendant or ensign that goes attached to a rod that is then attached to the rifle barrel of the rifle and carried by a NCO in front of the troop....see attached
