Went shopping today and got several more figure kits 1/35 and 1/50 scales. Will be using them in this piece. Meanwhile I created some pillars for the balcony.

    Jeff Say's Collection

I went over to Jeff's house to deliver a templar figure. Also had a look at his growing collection. We straightened out the ladder on his medieval siege display. Decided to put the ladder at a steeper angle to minimise the stress when figures are placed on it. I had a chance to look at the...

I just love this show. The casting of the Pablo Escobar guy and Pedro pascal is spot on. The theme music is out of this world!

    Spring is Here

I ptd over the transparent UV LED resin castings to visualise the faces. As you can see, not the best of castings. But its not an issue for me as I use them for armatures. So the figs are already being used. Another group shows more developed pieces with limbs from wires.

    Spring is Here

Hi John and Steve, thanks for your comments. I tried a different kind of uv led resin. Took a bit of time to get the right kind of UV led torch which catalysed the resin. It sets clear and you can only do a little at a time. Anyway, back to sculpting with more varied armatures.... Rgds Victor

Impact of 120 degree heat treatment on metal toy soldiers?

Search on the web. Heat treatment for pests is 55oC or 130oF. The eutectic temp of tin lead solder is 183oC. It should be safe. Rgds Victor.

    Spring is Here

Well. All I can say is that these are pretty dire castings. Can't be helped I suppose as the left over material was from my Repin Procession piece about 5 years back? Guess I will just plough on with these as armatures anyway.
