    Airfix with TSSD

I don't know if we can do that because even Conte had varying degrees of size among his own creations. His early figures like FFL and Arabs are considerably smaller then his Alamo and WW2 figures, if not true 54mm then really close. Then there were the Alamo Mexicans and Spartans who are even...

Who Really Killed John F. Kennedy

Maybe Oswald acted alone and was the lone gunman with no help from anyone. It just seems strange that a complete moron like Oswald with a crappy rifle who seemed inept at every other aspect of his life, could plan and kill one of the most powerful men of his time alone. Of course then again...

    Chicago Show report

I was also a victim of a theft, someone pilched a powder blue set of Rin Tin Tin character figures from my room. Since I was next door to George I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same guy.

    Chicago Show report

I'll be there this afternoon, tomorrow I get my room neighbor. Then the beer can start flowing. I'd be there earlier today, but I broke my foot and I have a doctors appointment today. Can't wait to get there.

    Airfix with TSSD

The Airfix cavalry were some of the finest figures made, unfortunately they are small compared to some of the newer figures by Paragon and TSSD. However, they do fit well with the Britains Detail , Gun Ho and P & P cavalry size wise anyway. However, if you match them with the Britains then you...

Why do we collect the series that we do?

I collect primarily Alamo and Custer's Last Stand figures, I am fascinated by dying to the last man scenario's. I wonder what went through the minds of those on the losing sides and at what point they realized they were doomed. These situations also leave a lot to the imagination as there is...

    Alamo played out???

Yes, I'm pretty sure there was a company that was making the figures and some buildings, the Marxman had some at some of the shows. I don't recall the name of the company. I have some of the figures, I'll see if I can find the name.

    Alamo played out???

I don't think the Alamo will ever be played out, but I've been wrong before. Speaking of Conte, I have all the buildings for sets 2 thru 7 available for sale, no figures sold them all already, just the buildings and the boxes remain.

Help on these Marx WW2 Soldiers?

The gut without a stand is Lido, the sniper is Marx 60mm, Ideal had an almost identical pose, but I believe the one pictured is Marx.

    Paul stadinger's comment time

I know Kent, nice guy very knowledgable, met him on more then a few occasions. Never met Paul, but he seems nice enough and he certainly knows a lot about the hobby and the history. I think they are both good sources and wouldn't hesitate to ask either of them a question or exchange stories...

Help on these Marx WW2 Soldiers?

In addition they had police and firemen, as well as some western figures. I think they had the only toy soldier ever smoking a cigarette.

Help on these Marx WW2 Soldiers?

Upon further review I do see some Marx GI's and at least one Lido, the Lido would be the standing figure without a base, not sure who makes the6" figures, perhaps MPC. The raft and tanks appear to be Marx. One cannon appears to be Auburn.
