Looking for an official name and/or set number for this group. The only place I've found it so far is on an auctioneer site where they had it listed as an Indian Army Cavalry. That does not seem correct to me. Is it?
Speaking of boxes, let's see if you can answer this riddle for me. I don't understand the set numbers on these. There's two different S1 and S3 boxes. The only difference is that one has the characters separated by dots and one is dashes.
Well, that's a fine how-do-ya-do. There's no others in this collection. Which leads me to another question. Is that an official Trophy box? Or is that possibly something London Bridge may have slapped a sticker on and sold as a set because they didn't have the rest of the actual set? I...
Thank you. You prompted me to search with different keywords. Found a couple of them.
The 1st is 18053 Colonial Militia Flagbearer #1 Bunker Hill
The 2nd is 17745 Flagbearer 2nd PA Regiment
Just need the set number and correct description for the 3rd guy.
I'll flip through the book after work and see if I can find any info for you. Might as well get some use out of it. It's not going to help me with my flagbearer. They were released after '93.
What do you consider a reasonable price? I have a copy. It was a SMH moment after I posted looking for information on some Britains flagbearers. LOL. Apparently, I have the answer right under my nose.
Dug out these 3 guys today. There's no box for any of them. Looking for set numbers and/or descriptions. The first two are labelled 2003 on the base with the guy on the right showing 2012. I've had feedback that the guy on the right bears the flag of Inniskilling (27th Foot) at Waterloo...
That's similar to my guy. But, not quite the same. I have to agree with Tom's original assessment that it screams of Trophy or Under Two Flags. Would really like to know for sure, though.
This has been one of the more challenging parts of deciphering what goes where when it comes to matching up the loose soldiers in this collection with the empty boxes that are available. I have these long white boxes that look to fit roughly six figures. But, the set numbers make no sense to...
I can confirm that they have the TM stamped on the base. Thanks for the other info. You'd be surprised how little I know. Hahaha. Glad you're enjoying the pictures. Let me know if you want a list for complementing your own collection.
While we're talking rare items and price tags. Would any of these Rattray Sikhs show up on the scarcity meter? The Indian officer with regimental colours also had a price sticker. That one shows $35. Very few still have stickers on. Any of the ones I've come across usually reflect $10-$15...
That would explain why I'm having a hard time identifying them. If it's at all pertinent, the flagbearer with the white helmet has a price sticker on the bottom of the base that says $54. Who knows how old that sticker is.
I had these guys narrowed down to either 127th Baluchs or 29th Bombay Native Infantry. Are either of those correct? As far as the guy carrying the ammo box, was he sold as a single figure? Of all the Indian sets I have, there is nothing else like him in this collection. Thanks in advance for...
