    Fur Trading Post & Rendezvous

This is probably as good as it gets. I would probably “dirty” up the grass tiles with debris, sand and loose leaves. That will also help cover the figure bases and seams between individual tiles.

    Durbar

I admire your background buildings. Who made those and are they available? i do not know who made Jim’s Delhi Durbar background buildings, but I am pretty certain Jim made them himself as he creates many dioramas himself.

    Durbar

I knew there were collectors way more dedicated to the Durbar than I was, but this is on a whole different level. This is amazing. You are apparently very focused in your collective habits.

    Tabletop 1945 Rhineland Diorama

After many years, I was now able to add an anti aircraft gun to my Kampfgruppe. I like the model from Britains and the accompanying figures a lot. A really nice set. It feels like eternities since I saw the 88 the first time in a shadow box in Chicago.

Battle for the last Barrel Display

Thank you for your kind words. Contemporary photos of La Gleize show a rural town with roads and squares without asphalt. I hence used cat litter as the base. It also helped absorb some of the moisture from the glue and I had no warping. And before you ask: yes, the litter was unscented.

My Saxon Shield Wall to date

These are very impressive displays. Mike‘s shieldwall is out of this world. i really like how you covered the bases, Greg. Is this static grass. Why was it difficult?

    Stalingrad 1942-43

Fantastic photos. I just recently noticed you are weathering the figures as well, in particular the boots. i agree that the initial release of the Stalingrad Germans was a great entry into the hobby as a toy soldier maker. The Russians are a little overdramatic for me. Personal taste.

Battle for the last Barrel Display

Having received the two Jenkins King Tigers and planning a trip to La Gleize, I decided to create a display. Still waiting for a house facade to finish the display off, the current wall is a stand in. The battle for the last barrels of fuel has begun in December 1944.

Toy Soldier Shows in the US.

it depends on your collecting focus. If you are into high end, sich as figures painted by artists, Russian painted figures, military oil paintings etc., I would say the MFCA. If you do mass manufactured figures and plastic figures, the MFCA is probably not for you. Gettysburg stands out from...

    Panzer Spitze

Fantastic. This is among your best works, Frank. I love the Panther as the center piece with the figures dressing it up and giving perspective. Love the foliage very much. Watereffect is amazing.
