    My first W.Britains ACW

I met Richard walker at his booth that he had set up at the 150th Manassas Reenactment. Although I mainly stay in the "plastics" world there was no resisting his fine products. He is also a very nice fellow. Anyway here are my new additions; I think that A.P.Hill figure is my new all time...

    150th Manassas anyone?

Had a great time but, It was HOT, unmercifully HOT. I met mascleo from the forum and Richard Walker from W.Britains. Both very nice folks. Richard, my apologies for sweating all over your displays. I swear for every canteen of water I drank, I sweated out three. I picked up my first W.Britains...

    150th Manassas anyone?

It's been my experience that it's usually the younger guys that fold in the heat. The older more experienced reenactors tend to take more care. As I said earlier in this post, the last Manassas event I was at there were more spectators going down than reenactors. The medical stations were full...

    150th Manassas anyone?

Yes, but for some rediculous reason half the artillery fights one day and the other half the next. I Dont yet know what day we take the field.

    150th Manassas anyone?

The last Manassas I did was the 140th and there were more spectators falling out from the heat than there were reenactors. That time the heat index was 125 and it was miserable. It is always hotter than the hinges of hades at that event. Be sure and get there early if your going, the battles are...

    New guy advice needed!

Ruggles good luck with your venture. You've gotten some great advice there. I hope you enjoy the hobby half as much as I have the two years that I've been doing it. Definitely dont be afraid of the 25-28mm (1/72). That is my size of choice although I also paint the larger 54mm(1/32). I find that...

Gettysburg Day Two; McLaws division attacks.............

George, great set up and pics. I look forward to the day when I have enough troops painted and terrain made to be able to do something on the same scale. I'm slowly getting there. Thanks for the great inspiration!

Somebody, why did I got a "dislike" on this YouTube Video?

Some folks cant appreciate the history and just see "Nazi". I would have expected more negative than one even though it's a terrific Dio, "Do any others like to listen to this kind of stuff?" Shoot yah, all the time. But I listen to minstrell type groups as opposed to the choral type group that...

    1/72 ACW playtime

I tried out something last night and this morning that I've been wanting to do for some time. seeing how well my HO trains matched up with the buildings I've made and my 1/72 scale figures. Please keep in mind this is playtime and not serious diorama building.
