    Wanted: Imperial American Civil War

Renewing my call for Imperial American Civil War sets. Good prices paid, I'd consider swapping my Heirloom spares (almost complete set of HS2 active duty and half of HS1 on parade) for some sets....Thanks, Mark

    Cavalry horse stability

Here is the perspex rod standalone (I took the top felt piece off this one), and in action with the cavalry figure from HS01, the Heirloom horses being known for "kneeling". As you can see the rod is virtually invisible, and when in situ with other soldiers around is not noticeable at all.

    Cavalry horse stability

I have found some success with supporting the mounted (Heirloom) horses with a small perspex rod, cut to length and with a small piece of felt at either end. This is then placed under the breastbone to the base. Its is invisible except on very close inspection. Only hassle was cutting the...

    Whats up with Prices?

I've noticed a lot of Imperials on ebay in the last few months. I've also noticed a jump in prices. I've nabbed a couple of goodies that Ive been on the watch for but have been scared off a few by the prices being bid. What gives? I thought there was a recession on, or are people shelving the...

    Paint variations ?

To breathe life into the Imperial forum I pose a question: What known paint variations are out there that may interest collectors. This is aside from any DIY paint retouching. Legitimate, issued and sold by Imperial paint variations only please. I guess the Gordons Heirloom series is the most...

    Wanted: Imperial Productions

Ok so you've got some imperial productions sets lying around, perhaps up the back of a cupboard somewhere, they are beautiful, but they're not your main thing, you're into K&C or Trophy, or Britains, First Legion or something else really. Isn't it about time you took the opportunity to turn...

    Mtd Cossacks

Agreed the Cossacks are very nice. Pity the 86a add-on set of three cossacks with the pikes (? lances) is out of production.

    Good start to the weekend

I have a current production and price list (NZD) so will scan that and post it here later this weekend. Their catalogues are likewise paper based, so I'll see how they scan as well.

    7th Hussars, British Cavalry Unit

Your pictures raise a question that I've been meaning to ask fellow collectors: Do you straighten swords, scabbards, bayonets, rifles, pipes, drumsticks etc to return them to their correct positions or leave them to avoid the risk of paint flake or even fatigue related breaks? Clearly the...

    Civilian or Military?

Wow thats a thought! - an item for the true collector. Don't know about price though what's 40 x USD30 per soldier .. USD1200. An Indian Mutiny heirloom set? Maybe a 1777 heirloom set, or two birds with one stone a Napoleonic Heirloom set!

    Civilian or Military?

All quiet on the forum front so here's a question for you Imperial collectors: From an earlier thread it was clear to me that people agree that David Cowe is an incredibly talented sculptor, (and Kay an equally impressive painter), and that it would be a "good thing" if he could concentrate his...
