I don't mind the sculpting.....Really bad choice of poses though!

You don't have to be to fussy as they are Ancients...Not like Napoleonics ect, Just start of with 6-10 bottles of paint and slowly add to that over time. Flesh...medium and dark tones..nothing to pale remember these ancients spend plenty of time out in the sun! black white browns...you can get...

I would go with acrylics easy to use and just wash your brushes with water....solid block painting is all you may need to do. Ancients are fun to paint...and that's the important thing!

Lower doorways back then people had to duck, Well they do in movies.

AIRFIX Sculps just perfect neat clean 54mm figures....German Africa Korps top notch, but i like all there WW2 sets. Have to be the soft plastic versions though....Sadly these new hard plastic sets with excessive mold lines and flash just don't do these old sculps justice!

Just splendid in every way George, Fantastic collection of buildings plus the tanks and figures and just about every thing else on the table. Starting a WW2 20mm collection had crossed my mind plenty of times and these pics might give me that push!

Knowing that the 200th was coming up! I was on the look out for any Waterloo doco's this past week. Did manage to round up 3 on the history channel.........And i had not seen these ones before so that was a bonus! Waterloo after the battle (or similar title) it was ok worth watching. Waterloo...

Nice true 54mm scale figures always was a fan!..be nice to se some new stuff and even re-release some older sets which are very hard to find. Maybe not your scale but they are coming out with a 1/72 La Haye Sainte playset....looks really nice and complete scale not like the old tiny Airfix!

WHY?....They are not out of Business they still have a bigger 54mm catalogue of sets...then most others put together, Hat just tends to focus more on 1/72 as those sell....(some sets even sell out after only two years on the market) You just never know they may return to 1/32 some day?....in...
