Photos of some of my Imperial Productions sets

Given some postings on the Imperial thread, I decided to go ahead and start an album of some of the sets in my Imperial collection. I began collecting Imperial in 1995, but only did so for about 2 years. I got back into it in a big way last year and in basically one year ended up getting all of th

    Imperial General Colbert.

I did all my photos without a flash. I do them in the morning with natural light near some windows on the front side of the house. I would assume Drum's right that the difference might be because of a flash in Rob's or the picture resolution. Will be posting more photos of some other sets...

    Imperial Productions picture thread

I pulled out some of my favorite Imperial sets from my display cabinet (see pictures of that display earlier in this thread) so I could post pictures of them. The sets include: Set 49B, Mounted Emir and Set 54, Mounted Mahidist Banner Bearer (I think this was one of the first Imperial sets I...

    Show us your Bengals!

Hi gang, I have attached photos of 50, 50A, 51A, 50B, and 50C. Note the difference with the officer's turban in set 51A and the turbans in 50A. Is that what they are suppose to look like? I will attach 50D in my next post. You will also note that I have pictures of one loose figure and one...

    Got a bit goofy....

I don't remember what that other alternative Bengal Lancer set looked like? What color was it? What was it labeled?

    Got a bit goofy....

Congratulations to Drum. With the exception of the card backing for set 4, I believe he owns EVERY Imperial set ever made. Wow! What a collection. Now, if we could convince Drum to get us that catalog he is working on, we could all enjoy color pictures of all the sets in his fabulous...

    Got a bit goofy....

Drum knows my view on this. I think it was a very smart buy. To begin with, I understand there are maybe only 3 or 4 of these special sets in the world. More importantly, all this leaves Drum with to collect is the special Gordon HS 2 (showed up on Ebay earlier this year) and the card backing...

    imperials back

Hi all, I just had a nice conversation with David. He sounds great. We talked US politics and other stuff, including, of course, future Imperial sets. I read him some of the posts you guys did. He mentioned the Scotts Grey. Anyway, it is a bit harder for them to do stuff since it is not a...

    imperials back

Really quiet on the Imperial front so I thought I'd post something. What new sets would people like Imperial to make in the coming year (not that David Cowe doesn't have his own ideas)? Also, if bored, post some pictures of your collection. It is always fun to see what people have and how...

Marder III - 21st Century Toys

Now that King & County is really nailing the details, I think it is time to tackle a detail heavy tank - the Marder III. I actually picked up a Marder III for my son today from 21st Century Toys at Target and was very impressed by the level of detail on it. It was only $17 bucks. Here is...

    imperials back

Imperial is back -- again. I got an email from Cowe saying the shop is now open again from Wed. to Sunday (10am-3pm). Perhaps we might even see some new sets before Xmas? I'm so glad it was a speedy recovery for David.

    Recent Imperial auctions?

Agree with Rob. I like the idea of a 50E - light blue coats - representing a certain Indian lancer unit.

    Recent Imperial auctions?

Drum and Rob, Interesting discussion on the O&M and the HS sets. I personally think once Drum track downs the O&M deck crew (saw one on Ebay last year) and gets the insert for set 4 he will have the "complete" and "official" Imperial collection. Maybe we will even have a photo catalog one day...
