This is the rider on the rearing horse. I had modelled him reaching out to hold the other horse rein. However, I think the torso is too long. So Ive remodelled it.
Hello John and Louis,
Notice the first pix. I snipped and bent the right knee to get the correct pose.
Went for a walk and picked up some twigs. Selected suitable sizes and forms. Then added wires for stability. Inserted into the scene for context...
I started to pose the mtd cavalry on the base as I have to start adding the infantry into the scene. Notice the gradient sloping to the front.
The second pix was taken too close so I missed out the third cavalryman. I hope the shading and highlights will resolve by itself as the scene develops.
Hi Louis
Absolutely agree with y on Guns of Navarone. I just watched Force 10 again and found it to be acceptable, not as bad as ice stn zebra.

Hi Louis,
Thank you. Still a lot more to do. Just ptd the Germans. Not shown in the ptg but notice the bayonet scabbards and tassels, and the red piping. I think they add a bit of colour to this scene.
I started to paint the mtd figs in oils developing the highlights and shadows. Noticed that the main fig was lacking a jaw making him look a little simian. So I added a jaw. Finished the mtd figs in oils. Notice that the main fig has the most details.
Hi Louis,
TX for highlighting. Done. I also realised that the wounded soldier is an officer so gave him a model 1889 officer's sword converted from Historex. All the figs were painted in acrylics.
Hi Wolfgang,
I sanded down this fig and continued to refine it.
For the other ghoul, I snipped off the lower jaw, trimmed down the cheeks and I have a smaller head.
