    Take No Prisoners !

Really nice sequence of scenes, Steve. Color is my choice on this one. Ya' they took a few prisoners, the same way a cat takes a mouse prisoner ..... play with for a while and THEN .... {eek3} --- LaRRy

    Following the Panzers

With exception of the Russian Armored car, that scene can be used with almost any T.S. series. My K&C AWI and JJD War of 1812 would fit perfetly in there. Nice setup with great (non-combat) figures. --- LaRRy

    Corona virus

Darn, Mike ... time to take "EXTRA" precaution. The entire state of Maine had ZERO ... until yesterday, now we have one. That was a woman who had traveled extensively through Europe. As soon as she suspected she might be sick she (SELF) Quarantined herself in her home. Thank God, no other...

    79th Annual MFCA Show & Mart-April 17-18, 2020

Add to the decisiojn making, the NBA has suspended the NBA season until further notice. Then TOM HANKS andhis wife has tested positive plus another actress. Local shows seem to be a safe choice if you take all the precautions that have been mentioned earlier. For those local shows -- Drive...

    need a JJD

Morning, Mike Yup, I hear your words, Sir, and can say that I'm a (bit of) a purist myself. I see all the fantastic RE-PAINTS done by the very talented artists on this site/Forum and consider having some done myself .. but can't go through with it. Ya' kinda' a (coward <-> purist) in that...

    need a JJD

Mike, with all of your "displayed" talent, you should be able to build that item with your eyes closed …:o A few sticks from the yard, bit of string and a few touches of paint or stain. Of course it wouldn't be a "Jenkins" BUT it would be a "Miller" and possibly more valuable. Just sayin'...

New Releases for April 2020 - The Eighteenth Century Collection

I have more "George Washington" figures that I care to admit. First Legion has one, K&C has 4 (I think :rolleyes2:) and John Jenkins has GEORGE from the French Indian War and now 2 from the AWI / DAM series. Add two from the William Britain sets and I need a whole shelf just for him...

New Releases for April 2020 - The Eighteenth Century Collection

A person could spend a life time JUST collecting John's AWI and DAM series. They are, without doubt, the best figures … in this cost category. It is a problem, trying to keep up with all there releases, :redface2: so focusing on one or two groups makes a bit of sense. BUT .... which...

New Releases for April 2020 - Aircraft Carriers

Boy, I hear you on that, Chris. I truly hope we see a "Re-Stocking" of the Bunker Hill deck sections soon. All of John's releases in this series lately are really "out-of-the-box" thinking. They put a definite realism into the scenes. So well done.!!! ^&grin --- LaRRy

    Tiger Attack

Excellent setup and shot, especially on the first photo showing the three Germans rushing right at you. As normal crisp and brilliant color and clarity. Very nice. --- LaRRy

time on my hands at last

OOOOPs --- Ya', I missed that line, so scratch the first idea. Good catch, John. I must have been in a state of awe at what Robin created and my old brain misfired. So, maybe the Imperial Japanese Army's - Kempeitai or the Imperial Japanese Navy's - Tokubetsu Keisatsutai stole the US map just...

time on my hands at last

Maybe we can just say that it was a captured US map when the Japanese took Bataan or the Battle of Corregidor? --- LaRRy

    Jungle hut

I (foolishly) missed out on those, T.G. huts so I will have to experience the joy through yours and others. I did buy myself some bamboo rods in "Hobby Lobby" so I might give that a shot ...? A bit crowded but they still work out well. Thanks, Robin --- LaRRy

time on my hands at last

Okay .... now you did it. You have reached the peak of DIORAMA making. How are you EVER going to surpass this?{eek3} The creativity is what impresses me the most. The radio transmitting equipment is fantastic. It appears that you photocopied some sort of instrument panels and applied them to a...

    Hot Night in Paris

What a difference 48 hours can make. The guy with the pet carrier looks very stressed, but the puppy looks like he is ready to play. Ahh ..The joy on innocent bliss. The Escort in the background is probably thinking ... Yesterday I took French Francs; Today I took British Pounds; Tomorrow I...

    Short Lived Victory

Now, your shot should look good in color, if the background you have is in color. The bright colored captured Japanese flag and the Camo Sherman against the hills would be something!!! ^&grin His buddies should tell the guy holding his souvenir flag to get "BEHIND" the tank or he won't be...

    Short Lived Victory

"Somewhere in the Pacific" ... Hummmm ... :rolleyes2: ... by way of the background, my guess would be Okinawa. Maybe here? It looks fairly similar. Very nice! ---LaRRy

time on my hands at last

ROBIN .. wow, where to start! I have been looking at this diorama for a long time ... so many wonderful items. First, the centerpiece, that hut is special. I have one and (NOW) I have some ideas, thanks to you. The platform is a brilliant idea and works so well. Your builder is very good. The...

    Jungle hut

Yes, that T.G. hut is a fantastic piece. I also like the setting that you placed it in. Obviously, the USMC hasn't landed yet, since there doesn't seem to be to much panic. Nice inspiration for putting my hut into use. The added porch and stairs add a lot to the scene. I gotta' do that too...
