The Mediterranean can be scary. Dad was stuck on it in a storm on a large cargo vessel with some others and many got sick. Dad always says he's glad he never had to travel that sea in a trireme. Even worse to go from Biscay to Britain on the edge of the Atlantic! Perfect scene of Roman mariners...
