Royal Mail Coach by Phoenix Model Developments

I love this post that you posted today because it has come at a most welcome time because last month a local collector asked me to assemble and paint his kit of the Royal Mail Coach that he accumulated over the past few years. Your step-by-step images are a great guide for me, and in a couple...

Sedan Chair 50 year old kit from Phoenix Model Developments

This is great work, and thanks for posting images of its creation. Good news is that this kit is still in production in the UK and I recently obtained one for a fellow collector who didn't realise that. He wasn't OK in purchasing on-line, so did it for him, and now I'm awaiting to seeing his...

    Charge against squares at Waterloo

WOW, what a brilliant display of figures for the Battle of Waterloo. I've never seen SO many 54mm figures all in one setup, it's colossal!!! The only other dioramas as big as this I have seen have used Zinnfiguren or wargame figures. How may troops are on your battlefield?? John

    King & Country Dispatches -- September 2025

Sharpe's RIfles ..... BRILLIANT!!! I love that the lads are in their campaign clothing, just like in the Peninsular Wars, some with soft hats, a bare head too, instead of the shako, and all wearing dirty / dusty trousers with patches. Richard Sharpe is there too, leading his team 'over the...

    AUGUST 2025 FIGURE NEWS

Nice to see a gun with a reasonable sized detachment. Not exactly the 'hot and sweaty' gunners we usually see but posed 'standing to' awaiting the next fire mission to come in over the radio. Nice work, John

    Project MR

It's very interesting to see you using smaller scale equipment to gain the real perspective view in this diorama, I'm really looking forward to seeing this completed (and close up). John

News Update August 25th, 2025 - American War of Independence

It's great to see that John has made a good sized gun detachment, most makers only make a token number of gunners. And I do love seeing hot and sweaty gunners, so "bring on the guns" John

    Looking for a tree..........................

Wayne, Chris, who is in Albany now, got a maker in Thailand to make these gum trees to go with a 1:35 scale diorama showing the 40mm Bofors AA Guns at Matilda Bay in WW2 where they were defending the squadron of Catalinas that fly out over the Indian Ocean. If they are suitable, let me know...
