Thank you very much for the pictures. As the painting of Toy Soldiers and my interest for the different types of paint has envolved into a hobby within in hobby. I am interested how things where done in the past.
I persume that on your figures some sort of poster paint (Tempera) was used...

After the costly battle of Leuthen the Prussian Army gathered and sang the Protestant hymn, the 1636 composed song "Nun lobet alle Gott mit Herzen Mund und Händen".
Another song that became deeply rooted into the german soul. It was sung after every battle by those german soldiers who did...
As the sudden success of Frederic suprised the world it also had a massive inpact on the german society until the present day.
To the present day it is rumored that Friederich himself composed the "Hohenfriedberger Marsch" himself. But there is no proof of it. Anyway this became the soundtrack...
This is another great book on Frederic the Great Army. Printed in landscape format it does cover all of the 21 major battles the King of Prussia fought during his reign.
The book starts with the:
First Slesian War 16.12.1740 - 11.6.1742
Mollwitz 1741
Chozositz 1742
Second Slesian War 17.8.1744...
I have seen it at various locations inside or near Museums in Europe. Rather sure it is made or commissioned by an italian company. I think you might get it from shops dealing with decorative home items, I am sure I have seen it somewhere. I have a look.
I eventually have found the picture I remembered. Thank you very much Ana for allowing me to post it here. The sculpting is brilliant. This is Set 228 of Beau Gueste Toy Soldiers.
Time for me to try to get some sculpting done.

Kober is (was) the shop (1st stockist) in Vienna that sold WOLLNER Zinnfiguren. Wollner is the brand name of figurines you are looking for. Use Wollner Zinnfiguren to find out where to buy/order from.
Hope that helps
