I rarely weigh in on this for a variety of reasons, but I feel like things are sufficiently calm right now for me to say a few words without appearing to dive into a brawl. I began collecting toy soldiers at a very young age with a couple of cheap Britains ceremonial figures I found at a train...

In My Free Time: Dioramas and Stuff

As you can see, there are a few other makers mixed in. My plan is to add to it until I have a full battery, then make a proper diorama base for it.

In My Free Time: Dioramas and Stuff

It's been a while since I posted here, but I thought I would share a few marginal pictures of my collection as I work on my next diorama. Note that the 71st Highlanders are only on their current shelf temporarily; long-term, I plan to add them to my Hougoumont diorama.

I am currently working on this village diorama, which will include a rode and a dry riverbed. It will house my collection of Ready4Action British Mandate and 1948-1949 figures, of which I...

    Josephine B Le Cimier

I can't wait to see how this progresses! I must say, those high-fashion Empire dresses were really something. As to the mantle, might I offer a suggestion given that the clay seems to be posing problems? I have had some success with using study cloth or paper, soaking it in a solution of white...

    The Tiger King...Andy, Not Joe!

The only K&C modern series I collect is the the Israeli stuff, but I would definitely buy a damaged Israeli or Jordanian/Syrian/Egyptian piece of armor.

    Gros Napoleon at Jaffa

Victor — I should add that I have been to the scene of this painting in Jaffa. It’s in a monastery right on the sea wall.

What else do you collect beside toy soldiers

I don't think that's a British officer -- those are Hungarian buttons and the uniform looks Hungarian.

My dad had a sizable amount of vintage toys, so I got to play with these when I was a kid! I still have a few boxes.
