    My own Little Big Horn

I thought I was done with my 'Little Big Horn' but Sitting Bull is a must. Also, TW168 has a black horse and none of my current nine riders do - so he needs to come in somewhere too!

    Conte Roman test shots

Well the molds are made at least. So production of some sort should follow. I'm very keen on these.

    Battle of Long Tan

"There and then, sittting watching my laptop screen, I said to myself,"This, we gotta do!" That same day, I began sketching out the first four figure designs for 'Long Tan' and discussed them with Brett and our other two Aussie Dealers ...Everyone was very enthusiastic and supportive." Great...

    Battle of Long Tan

Yes, I want to add to Brett's point about word of mouth. See it, then you can tell others. There's been proper money spent on this. The production values are excellent. A lot of actual events from the battle are portrayed. I thought it had a similar feel to Mel Gibson's excellent 'We were...

    Battle of Long Tan

Saw it yesterday - loved it! It's the best Australian combat film I've seen. Yep, the Aussie humour/profanity early on had me chuckle out loud. The tone changes of course when the battle starts and it is covered very well. No BS either. Also quite accurate. Full review next week.

    M113 in the sun.

I got mine last week - and it's great!

These look great! When you say small - do you mean Airfix size?

    GAME OF THRONES Season 8

I can live with the conclusion, though it seemed mundane compared to the story high points that made the show so awesome overall. My biggest gripe was more context was needed to justify Dynares switch to crazy. Surely an episode comprised of talking (and plotting) wouldn't have cost too much...

    GAME OF THRONES Season 8

This was an astonishing episode. Visually stunning. The ease of the 'victory' was a surprise. The city looked a lot like Berlin, May 1945, then it became Dresden. There were other surprises, Cersi doesn't face the punishment I imagined but her demise was still very painful. I see The Mountain...

    GAME OF THRONES Season 8

It was a surprise to see the dragon go down - but that's the fortunes of war. People/characters have bad luck or make mistakes - this show is famous for the consequences people face. I think we might see the end of Cersi in Ep 5 but then a Varys twist in Ep 6 will give us a surprise winner of...

    Battle of Long Tan

Yes, it wasn't quite what I expected for a rubber plantation - not that I care! I'm really looking forward to this. Travis Flimmel was excellent in Vikings, I think he'll bring a lot to this. It was an epic battle and the date is Australia's Vietnam War remembrance day. I've always been in awe...

    Mass Shooting in NZ Mosques.

My initial thoughts was that he was going to be like that nutter from Norway. So it seems to be. The whole business of posting a manifesto just shows how paranoid and disconnected someone can be. Having these delusional obsessions reinforced by other creeps on the internet just fans it. A bunch...

    Conte breathing again

I didn't get the earlier Viking ships but I'll definately want this one. The smaller size will also fit in behind my existing Britains Viking/Saxon battle. I'll just need to set it up as having grounded (?), with the Saxons resisting a landing. What I'd really like is to see the TV and movie...

    New Conte plastic?

Some of you have no doubt received this same email yourselves but here it is for those who haven't - "After lengthy review/consideration, we will be sending mold masters to factories for bids and hopefully, production. For those interested, we've posted some thoughts , at length, in the "BLOG"...

    Wanted K&C Curassiers & Dragoons

I've got a few of those and I love them. It took me a couple of years to get the ones I wanted but I found mine on eBay UK. It seemed to be the best place in terms of price as well as postage.

    Melbourne terrorist attack.

Not sure if it was mentioned in the article but the bloke who went in to fight the terrorist with a shopping trolley was a homeless person. I believe his luck is about to turn. What a legend.

BMC reissues of Marx Russians and Peyton AA Gun

What great news - the Marx Japanese is one of the best sets ever in plastic! My son and I painted most of them (and the Airfix ones) up and they make a really impressive attacking group. I really like the BMC tanks too. I can't remember whose originals they were based on? I've always hoped BMC...

    African American Union troops

Yep, A Call to Arms. There are four figures in the set. My copies are a kind of blue grey? They are a nice fit with the more traditional 54mm brands. I have mine set up with the Airfix cavalry and the AMEX (I think?) set.
