    WB Diorama Accessories

Good evening, I am interested in the cobblestone street, the stumps, the AK fall bushes and the AK winter tufts. Let me know if they are still available. Thx Chris

    New vignettes for Chicago

These are great images, really like the addition of the lathe and roof to the diorama. It just adds so much. Look forward to seeing the next versions. Always admired your work and it just keeps getting better.

    War Park Sneak Peak

The War Park railroad cars are not G scale but are more like G1 scale. G1 scale is about 1/32 to 1/30 scale and is made by Marklin, KM1 and a few others. Attached is an image of a diorama that was done with War Park cars and Marklin and KM1 G1 model track, signals, cars and locomotives. You...

    Operation Bodenplatte

Steve, thanks, does take a lot of planning on these and even after they are done, I see things that I could have added and will next time. All the best neighbor Chris

    Operation Bodenplatte

Chris, if you get a chance, look at the Troiani print "Retreat by Recoil" and see how close this is to it, which was done on purpose. Next summer will be a diorama on a US ACW battery with proper spacing which means it will be big. All the best Chris

    Operation Bodenplatte

Steve, thanks a lot, the hangar took about 2 months to complete as well as the bunkers for the 88's. The ACW diorama that you recall was also a challenge. I am working on a vignette of the 19th Indiana at Gettysburg right now and then back to WW2 for another large display. all the best Chris

    Operation Bodenplatte

Robin, glad you like them. I went through 9 variations of this scene to get everything in and it grew from 24 inches by 24 inches to 4 feet by 7 feet. Talk about "scope creep". Starting a new time period sure does keep me busy with new figures, terrain vehicles and research such as the fuel...

    Operation Bodenplatte

I am still doing ACW, here are a couple of small ones I did of Gettysburg. Bigelow and Parker's batteries. Let me know what you think.

    Operation Bodenplatte

Thanks to everyone and their kind words, as far as my health, I have good days and bad days. With that being said, on the good days I am back at the workbench. Here are some color images of the Bodenplatte diorama. Let me know what you think.

    Operation Bodenplatte

In late 1944, plans were being developed by the German Army to stage a counter offensive against the Allies on the Western Front. This would be launched in December and would include both ground troops as well as Luftwaffe units. The Luftwaffe portion of the plan was called Operation...

    New 88 pic

I have thought about cancelling all of my preorders but have not done it yet. I do get closer everyday to doing it as well as cancelling my membership. Will probably do it some time this year if nothing changes. Will look to see what is on the secondary market and try my hand at modifying...

    New 88 pic

Agreed, last time I talked to WB it was to renew my membership. I talked to Erica and at that time she said they would have some of the new releases in February or March at the latest. Obviously that did not happen. No sense even trying to get an update on the new releases, not worth the...

Britains at the London Toy Soldier Show 24 March 2018.

Also agree, no communication and no new products is not a good sign for any firm. I am also hoping for the best but I am expecting the worse. I only collect ACW and may have find a new hobby. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Chris

    New 88 pic

Agreed, defining "in trouble" is the issue. They did change their approach with catalogs and brochures as well as new releases and availability dates. They did this to lower collector frustration and get out of "trouble" with their customer base. Time will tell how this works but it is more...

    New 88 pic

They are probably in crates mistakenly labeled "Holy Grail" sitting on top of a crate marked "Arc of the Covenant, Do Not Open, Dr. Jones". My ACW limbers are in the same crate by the way.

    Time For New Releases

IMO, I only will comment on ACW figures as that is the majority of what I collect. ACW FL figures have traditionally had additional painting details such as highlights and shading that were not present on ACW WB figures. However, over time the latest WB figures have closed the painting gap...

Wm Britains symposium at Frazier History Museum

I wonder if WB will have a symposium West of the Mississippi some day? Like very west? Like Pacific Coast west? Just hoping. Chris
