    Nice shot!! Good ole Lulubelle. Real name was Lucybelle but Boyington changed it because he was mad at one time girlfriend. And he probably never flew 86 in combat, it was just available for a propaganda photo shoot. Like the way you arranged the figure with plane, can't tell size difference.

    Inside the rear turret hatch is a latch you have to carefully push to release the basket from the turret. But be very careful I have discovered that the plastic on these models is very brittle and will snap with very little pressure. I have had to reattach almost all of the spare track hangars...

    1/48 Monogram D-Day C-47 Pathfinder Group

    This represents a C-47 from the IX Troop Carrier Pathfinder Group. On 6 June 1944 at 0016 hrs this aircraft dropped Pathfinder Stick No. 19 from the 502nd PIR over Drop Zone C Normandy. All Unit markings have been painted over.
