Hi Marc,
The only clear picture I have of a mobile canteen in Salvation Army livery is of an Austin 10 and it is camoflaged. I have attached a copy of the picture for reference.
Regards,
Brian.
Hi Marc,
If you would like your blue canteen with Salvation Army markings ibstead of Church Army markings it can be arranged very easily. Let me know and I'll arrange for the appropriate decals to be put on it. No problem.
Regards,
Brian.
Hi Beau,
Your Church Army version is nearing completion and will be ready to ship next week. I have five more on the go at the moment.
Incidentally the pictures of Church Army Mobile Canteens you posted appear to be post war versions from the dress of the men and the small Commer van I believe...
Hello Folks!
It is a while since I have posted pictures on this thread but as I now have the Crewe Tractor built on the Ford Model T chassis at the L.N.W.R. works at Crewe in production I thought I should let you have alook at it. At the moment it comes complete with a short length of track and...
Hi Luiz.
As with all things in this business the success of previous releases has to pay for the development of new items, as well as pay the rent. Especially in a one man operation like mine. I have plans to continue with WW1 releases including more heavy guns, armoured cars, etc. and to...
Hi Luiz and John,
The Position with regard to Artillery is as follows:-
I have already taken delivery of the masters for a number of guns and limbers but in the main I still require crews for them.
1) I have recently put into moulds a 12 pound Napoleon with limber and ammunition wagon...
I thought I would take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy and prosperous 2013. The New Year promises to be as hectic as last year, Alan is already working on an Army set to go with the Mobile Canteen and the first Artillery will be ready soon.
As some of you are aware Toy Army Workshop...
As a small one man manufacturer who doesn't book half a dozen tables or buy any advertisements in magazines I feel I must refute your comments with regard to the coverage of the London show. I happen to think that those who take the photographs, on a voluntary basis, do a marvellous job of...
Due to pressure of work I have not posted on this thread for a while. However the first Austin mobile canteen (of WW2 vintage as requested by "Johnnybach") has now been assembled and I attach pictures together with the first set of figures to go with it. This set is entitled "Red sectin...
As many of you may know Dave Love sold his Artillery range to Fleurbaix Toy Soldiers when his range of miniature ships began to out sell his military range. However, he entered the model soldier arena again in conjunction with Alan Caton making new Artillery pieces with figures maade by Alan...
Emilio,
As a manufacturer of gloss style toy soldiers I have great admiration for your figures and love watching this thread to see what is new. Keep up the good work.
Regards,
Brian.
Hi John,
I'm guessing that the Finnish version is WW2 vintage while the order mentioned in the "Devil's Paintbrush" is 1890's vintage. Mind you I wouldn't mind making the artillery as well.
Brian.
Hi John,
Trooper has the sled gun because although I do not intend to make this item at the moment I was reading through the book "The Devil's Paintbrush" when I was making my Pom-Pom model when I came across an order from the Canadian Government for some Maxim Machine Guns on the Cavalry...
Hi Dave,
This set is not as unique as you may think. I have an example of another manufacturer's version of this piece. Although I thinh the gun is a little better the crew let it down. I can't post a picture at the moment as the gun is with Trooper at the moment. Another manufacturer to have...
Hi Louis,
Sorry about the delay in replying to your enquiry. Slight family crisis moving my Daughter into new premises which has taken a lot longer than anticipated.
However, down to business, yes I still have a couple of sets of Mountford's figures to go with the mobile Canteen they made and...
Hi John,
They look like Mascot Handlers to me. I guess a Wolfhound to go with the Guardsmen and a Shetland Pony for the Para.
I'm afraid I'm not sure who the makers are.
Brian.
Yeomanry Miniatures also has a spare parts catalogue which is fairly comprehensive. Not only heads, bodies, arms, weapons, but also horse heads, tails and horse furniture.
