Hopefully they'll do more than just come out with repaints. I'd be nice to see some actual new vehicles hit the market. Maybe once they see that the market is there they'll expand & release some new stuff.
I just saw that a company bought a bunch of the 21st C 1/18 scale plane & tank molds & will be producing them now. they're releasing a Corsair & P-38. Anybody have anymore info on this? and will the same thing be done with their 1/32 scale products. I'd love to see the 1/32 Tanks continue and...
I don't think it's flammable. I haven't used it yet, but I think it'll be ok with foam. It just needs to be heated up enough to go from gel to liquid. Either nuke it for a minute or place the bottle in boiling water for a few moments. I'm sure it's trial & error at 1st, but seems like a pretty...
The stuff I got is called wonder water. I picked it up at an AC Moore. They carry a few different products that are essentially the same thing. Michaels arts & crafts also sells the same type of thing. What's great about buying from those places if you have one near you is they always have...
I have not tried it yet, but I picked some up to try. The water effects they sell in florists or crafts stores to make the fake flower arrangements with the fake water in the vase. Looks really easy to use & it's fairly cheap. according to the directions you just heat it up till it's a liquid &...
Thanks for the pics, it's a pretty usefull for scale. I can see how the bags I made look WAY too big in comparison. And they're scaled down from the Tamiya 1/35 sandbags too. Ya live & learn. Thanks
US new guys need all the help we can get, thanks for saying the bags were ok & you'd have no problem with it in your collection. It's a real drawback having nobody down here where I live to bounce stuff off of. You can only get so much info out of a "how to" book. I've only been doing this stuff...
Anybody out there have any decent suggestions for how big 1/35 or 1/32 sandbags should be. I'm scratchbuilding them with clay & can't seem to come up with a satisfactory size. Thanks.
One thing about the 21st C Chaffee is the 50 cal that comes with it. You'd think they coulda done at least a little better job on it. It's about the worst i've seen.
Yeah, I can see why you prefer that look. I'll have to give it a try when I do my other Chaffee. Looks much better without the shield on. Thanks for the idea.
Actually, I used Modelling clay. Works pretty well for this. Only drawback is when some of it has dried out a little it can be a pain. The scale on the bags is a real pain. I tried using the Tamiya 1/35 sandbag set as a comp to size them, but they just seem too big. any rough ideas for the basic...
Thanks guys for all the help. My LHS Warricks (they're the only one down here in Florida) thankfully has the plastistrut. I'll have to take a trip soon & see what they've got. They're more geared towards trains & RC, but have a decent model section. I'm actually kicking around opening my own...
