What a great mag. Every item appeals. I like the Crimean Artillery release. The Hong Kong Tramcar is an absolute must have, what a great piece. The cricket house oh boy, time to save up! Mike
I am working on a small display regarding the subject. It had me thinking of a few fallen heroes from our family. It occurred to me that I should share this. Mike
Thank you for more and continued interest.
Mark that second web page you posted is exactly what I have in mind. WOW. Maybe I need to rethink this and go for something more silicone based like that appears. This just might need the assistance of Build-A-Rama or Mr. Miller. I shall contemplate...
Thank you for the compliments. Let me answer some of your questions.
Mark it started from a kit with some extra items ordered added and painted. With one of these ships it will never end. You will stumble on another cannon or ships bell in your searches and add it on or replace a less quality...
Yes this is the Rommel from the strictly limited desert taxi release. He is painted the same as the one you have pictured. I like the new pants and boot colors. Great figure to get free for a typical order if you were not planning on purchasing the whole set. Mike
I thought I would share a project that is definitely a work in progress. I have been trying to do a large ship display from the Peninsula Napoleonic Wars period for some time. The first vessel I went in to just was not what I wanted for Wellington's forces coming across the channel to disembark...
Zach, This is one of the finest works I have scene. You sure give a person a level to raise the bar to. Absolutely great in ever way. I must start looking for some of the K&C house fronts. The Chinese Water Ox is cool. Where did you come by that figure? Is it K&C, I have not seen it before, Mike
Thank you all for your interest and words. Zblang your Hong Kong scene you posted is just stupendous. I have a long way to go to put out something like that. The Chinese Junk is so versatile as I think they were around from say 1100 AD and you can as many of you stated put a variety of figures...
Thanks Wayne and Robin. I really like the Kriegsmarine releases. I hope they continue in the Berlin 38 series if at all possible. They are very nice and detailed. It was actually the strictly limited Seehund that sparked my initial interest. I always thought having the sub launched off the dock...
Another quick one guys. I am told this is the K&C Chinese Junk. I do not see any markings on it but it is beautiful and so well made. Are there any figures available that would be suited to it as in Chinese Sailors?
Mike
Hello everyone. I have been away these few months and glad to be back with some new scenes. Here is one I have been building on. Mike
Have a great day.
Yes too bad this did not happen. But a nice display scene that could be used with some of the Nazi's that did meet this well deserved and fitting end. Mike
Thank you Andy but I thought the first release was naturally the Alamo with the soldier figures in the Briscoe battle display. So perhaps they will not be the first release then. But first or second release at least the thread will work for giving you a and idea on what every guy wants to see...
