    Camel Corps Prices are Soaring

The eBay bidding on a Trophy Camel Corps dismounted figure leading a camel is reaching hefty levels for a single figure: http://www.ebay.com/itm/401224986163?_trksid=p2055359.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

My Leuthen collection - it's starting to come together.........

Here is a picture of the rear of the church, as seen once you walk through the ornate gateway. Note that absence of any door in the rear:

My Leuthen collection - it's starting to come together.........

I believe that this might be the front gate because it is on the side next to the church steeple, which is usually the front of the church. The more ornate back gate lead to the rear of the church.

CSA LEOPARD ship is for sale. Yikes!

Champsandbums is currently listing a large quantity of Trophy sets on eBay right now, so it seems obvious that he acquired someone's collection. He tends to overprice equipment sets, but the infantry seems to be "at market". One could commission Herb Gundt to make a similar boat for...

CSA LEOPARD ship is for sale. Yikes!

The CSA Leopard is for sale on eBay for a cool $5,000. She is a mighty fine vessel but way too pricey for my taste. Copy and paste the link below and have a look. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Trophy-of-Wales-American-Civil-War-CSA-Leopard-/401227444017?hash=item5d6b04ef31:g:vtMAAOSwiONYLe~8

    DAF's Trophies

I have moved most of my Trophy Highlanders, except for my UTF Seaforth Highlanders, on to book shelves in my library: From left to right, Black Watch, Gordon's, Seaforth - Khaki, and Black Watch at Tamai.

What would collectors like to see from W. Britain in the future.

I know that the Brigade of Guards that fought during the American Revolution in the U.S. Did not carry colours into the field for the reason that I cited earlier. Same is true for detachments of Guards companies in Spain during the Napoleonic Wars. Jim

    21st Lancers, 1898

My regiment of 21st Lancers, for wargaming purposes, is now at 17 rank and file. I will use the Trophy Young Winston Churchill as the commander figure: The "commander" in this photo is an Alymer figure

    DAF's Trophies

The Boer War era steam tractor arrived today. A very handsome model it is too: It is one favorites and I was fortunate to stumble upon it. I also added a lot of Marines to the Trophy collection:

What would collectors like to see from W. Britain in the future.

That is a great idea. I'd love to see that large Changing of the Guard set re-released. It's a shame not to use some of the old moulds, although I'd imagine that market research and actual sales probably point to emphasizing the matte ranges of figures. I'm happy either way.
