    Should I go boxless?

    :Dnow that made me laugh.

    new panzer IV

I agree...but as much as I like King & Country, no one models the German helmet as well as CS...and take a look at the MG42 gunner's right hand. Most toy soldier sculpts omit detailed hands. Because it's one of the most difficult things to do...even drawing a hand is tough, let alone sculpting...

What do you collect of First legion??

I have begun my collection with a building (TER006 Plancenoit European Village building #2). I have never seen anything so stunning. I hope to get them all. ;)

    Should I go boxless?

Ah Mitch...good question. As you know, I am a wargamer/collector and don't want to arouse the suspicion of my wife. The last thing I need is an independent investigation. So, I keep the pieces out of sight until the game. Then I pack them neatly away. Now, she's not stupid and probably...

    Should I go boxless?

When I began collecting a few years ago, I trashed the boxes in favor of a more compact foam carry case. I have regretted it ever since. The bayonets and rifle grenades were immediate casualties. So, for me, the space saving concept was not worth the peril in which I placed my collection...

I see what you mean. It has that appearance in every frame, doesn't it?

Any photos of the Market Garden Sturmgeschutze

Everything is relative. If you can find a Conte foam terrain piece, it will cost at least as much. A counterfeit church and priory is somewhere around 5 to 6 hundred dollars. When they were new, the Conte sets sold for $250+. I didn't buy them for the plastic soldiers. Most paid that just...

    Size Matters....

I took a few comparison pictures. Again, it only serves to confuse things, but it is interesting to see the variation from line to line. These are TCS models 1:32 scale Forces of Valor models These are 1:76 scale Cromwell Ready models.

The Conte buildings sculpted by Ken Osen are fabulous. But take a look at this! http://www.firstlegionltd.com/ter006plancenoiteuropeanvillagehouse2.aspx First Legion has two buildings suitable for Normandy and another two for the Eastern Front. They look fabulous! Now imagine them with any...

    Size Matters....

LOL...well, I set out with the intention of proving my case, but I'm not sure I accomplished that. Here's what I have: Pz IV Ausf. G Length - 6.62 meters Width - 2.88 meters Height - 2.68 meters M4A3 Sherman (Firefly) Length - 5.91 meters Width -...

    Size Matters....

...But the M4A3 Sherman (Firefly w/ the 17-pounder) was almost 10 tons heavier than the Pz IV Ausf. G. The K&C Firefly looks puny next to the CS model which creates a disparity that is unacceptable for me.

    Size Matters....

Brian...I am only a couple tanks down. I own both the Wittmann tiger and the winter version. At least the Panther, half-track and Pz IV are spot on, right? So, just give us a new Tiger I release! How much would it be? The K&C Tiger II is $225. Their new Panther is listed at $209 now, I...

    King & Country – Tales of the Tiger & K&C’s 210 Days

It looks like the M4A1 (76)W. It was an upgunned version of the Sherman (76mm main gun) with wet stowage. I'd love to have it! :D

    CS00433 -- PzKfw IV Normandy

Ah, then you'll just have to release the beast again! Only this time, to correct scale. I'll have to get a larger gaming board. ;) Jürgen

OzDigger...the risk is breakage and theft. Here's a link to the game we played yesterday. The new CS Pz IV made its debut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-gEfSt_gN4

    CS00433 -- PzKfw IV Normandy

Many players seem to enjoy skirmish level games with 15–28mm figures. Rarely do you find anyone brave enough to place King & Country or the likes on a gaming table. There is a risk involved. Those who do game with toy soldiers more often than not use abstract ranges where the ground scale...

    CS00433 -- PzKfw IV Normandy

right you are OzDigger. Most wargamers are unfamiliar with the world of toy soldier collecting. So, the Conte pieces attract a great deal of attention everywhere we go. ;) Jürgen
