    The 84th Regiment--a simple scene

Wow Kenneth--well done!! I had considered doing some round ones myself but it's hard finding a frame for the circular bases. Do you plan on displaying this as is or will it go into some sort of "frame"?

    The 84th Regiment--a simple scene

Thank you and yes these are from the SYW. However, the 84th regiment (a/k/a Coote's regiment) did not participate in the AWI. Coote's 84th Regiment, raised in 1758, was not the same as the 84th Regiment of Foot (Royal Highland Emigrants) that fought in the American Revolutionary War. The...

    Come Back Home Part 2

Fantastic Chris! Thanks for the history lesson both in your narrative form and with the scenes!! You made excellent use of all the WB figures. My favorite is the women inside the home.

    The 84th Regiment--a simple scene

One of the many things I love about this forum are the ideas shared here among us members. Some of the ideas that have intrigued me the most is how fellow collectors display their collections. No doubt most of us utilize glassed in display cases, small display units or just simple...

    Breed’s Hill

Again I say "Wow"! To see the display in its full grandeur is quite striking! Too bad you cannot make it a permanent display. The broader pics show all the more how well you staged everything. I'm sure you've portrayed a very close account of the real event. Great job!!! BTW....Any...

News Update October 20th. 2025 - The Eighteenth Century Collection

Mark, You're right--pictures of prototypes and the advent calendar do not cost that much. However, the pictures are not really the issue here---it's what is previewed in the pictures that's at issue. I think John is trying to convey that he is finding it difficult to plan ahead and predict...

    Come Back Home

That's awesome that you could re-create the historical scene like that. You did a splendid job in setting it up! Those H&A buildings are hard to find these days so it's great that you were able to find some and incorporate them into the dio. Where did you get the lamp posts?

News Update October 20th. 2025 - The Eighteenth Century Collection

I, too, am an avid JJD collector who is also disappointed by the postponement of the weekly updates. However, after communicating with John recently I can understand why he's made this decision. From a business perspective, the tariffs have made it very difficult to predict sales, especially...

    Breed’s Hill

Wow!! Very nice display and well staged in all respects. I love how you incorporated several of JJ's past ranges into the scene. Everything blends together so well. Thanks for sharing this with us.

    The Third Assault...Bunker Hill

Excellent scene and camera work. It puts the viewer right in the midst of the action. You've given me some ideas on how to use these figures.

You are sure right about that Wayne!! I, for one, can't say "no" to this. I'll take the whole range!! For several years many on this forum have been asking (begging) for more civilian related themes and it's good to see that John is answering our request.

Great Experience: 1st Direct Purchase at IP

Hi Artilleryman, Yes indeed these Imperial Production figures go real well with other manufacturers of 54mm! I share your frustration over their shop being closed for so long. But once they reopen for business, I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you were to buy some of these T&A figures.
