Definitely not. No toy soldier brands. Paddy said his was Conte. I had a look at Ebay at the moment, under wooden toy viking ships and found mostly 1:72 scale where mine are 1:35 or there abouts. They were different designs to mine as well.Greg.
Speaking of long ships, I have 5 of them. The JJD one is still in the box and has not been opened. I'm looking for inspiration on how to display it in a diorama. A few pics of the rest. Greg.
I really like your enthusiasm for the hobby and especially for this period as it's my favorite. I like how you put a lot of variety in your diorama layouts. The only drawback being that they take up a lot of room as i'm speaking from experience. Keep up the good work. Regards Greg.
I've got a large collection of Vikings but sadly only 3 FL figures. Probably because they are a bit dearer than other brands. The quality of FL is very good and they mix well with Brittains and Russian made figures as I have them in one diorama.
Sorry to all Forum members, looks like i have been taken in by new Ridley Scott film trailer Napoleon shown on Youtube. I saw it before comments started coming in doubting it's authenticity.
The trailer for the new Napoleon film looks impressive. Directed by Ridley Scott, it looks like a huge production piece worthy of the period. I believe he will be making a second Gladiator film next.
Demoralized, overwhelmed, dispirited, these are the impressions that I get from the Roman soldiers in your diorama. A more peaceful scene than I would have portrayed but just as effective. Greg.
