"I really loved that Alamo display. I was wondering what it was doing with the other exhibits. I did not know they had Toy Soldier displays like this. Excellent.

In response to the above post from earlier in the string, I also entered a bust of Monty I painted as a tribute to the 70th...
The walls from the Alamo vignette are foam based, and the large wall I painted in the detail in artist oils. Made a fire out of a few twigs and some red/yellow/orange oil paints with steel wool highlighted with white paint for the smoke. Smaller wall more of a few different washes of earth...
Some additional shots of the displays Pat Deluhery and I set up at MFCA. We split the award for best new toy soldier display which was a nice touch. One of the good things in setting up the displays, is you can add to it real time as you make purchases through out the day......can you see...
Larry the wigwam is a resin kit from http://www.meridianaitalia.com. Not an easy build as some pieces were warped, but the detail is excellent. I primed it and then painted it in artist oils. The fire pit is from build a Rama.

Just a few photos from another one of the Shallow Shelf vignettes I set up last fall, With space at a premium a little creativeness mixed with a periodic rotation of displays keep these shelves active.

Fine work

Best for me is the "my lady" piece which will look great with my interior castle display. Love to see some more of these at court pieces. However although I understand the business economies of hyper linking the dispatch to the K&C site, the tree frog result is less than adequate for these old...
