Great series , very impressed when I saw the tank and figures at the London Toy Soldier Show. Perhaps one day even a Centurion! Those forthcoming tank riders that Andy mentioned have got to ride on the back of something!
Big thumbs up for the release of the British tank crew (not what I'd exactly describe as "Fringe"), also to the new Israeli/Six-day war range. Nice to see new periods and subjects being explored.
Thanks Makave for posting pics of the JS-II. I was hoping to see an example (and perhaps purchase one) at the London show yesterday but there seemed to be none around. After seeing your photos definitely will try and add one to my collection!
At today's London show there was a prototype of a Jagdpanther , complete with engine and interior detail - to be released around June. No information re camo schem or crew but with an approx price of about £250.00.
Just got back from the show. Fewer traders than previous shows. For me the exciting news was that John Jenkins is tipping his toe into WWII armour with a Jagdpanther , complete with engine and interior detail - to be released around June. No information re camo schem or crew but with an approx...
well that is really a surprise. Nice to see something post 1945!
I think the figure on the roof is Moishe Dayan - he appears to have an eyepatch It was Israeli paras supported by Ishermans (the Centurions and M-48s were in the Sinai) who captured Jerusalem back in 1967. Dayan was with them...
I have quite a few FOV armour models and they are great models and I am very pleased they will be coming back into production. Evidently the new owners will be increasing the level of detail on some of their models and evidently an M-10 is in the works (a vehicle the original firm never made)...
The "classic line" seems an interesting concept! Hope we wont have o wait too long for details! Gran Sasso raid sounds interesting. I assume the Folgore will appear as they did at Alamein.
It was a great evening. The food was good and the company excellent - for me one piece of great news was that British/Canadians will be joining the WWII range sometime next year.
By the way - the talk was on the battle of Tel-el-Kebir - not Tel Aviv in case anyone was wondering!
