Confirming the First Legion World of Tanks series German Panzer VIII Maus Wüstenschiff model is in hand!
It is incredible 😎
Just thought I’d post a couple pics here given the previous discussion before making a more dedicated thread.
I think there might be some interest for a more historically accurate Maus tank among collectors… Granted it’s not a Tiger tank, or a tank that entered mass production and saw combat, but there have been enough model kits and small 1/72 scale models of the tank made over the years and Cobi has...
I got their previous WoT Soviet IS-7 model and it’s one of my favorite FL tank models. That version sold out a while back and hopefully the Maus will also…
I’d love to see a more historically accurate version of the Maus as well 😎
Thank you all again, everyone, for the positive comments on my vignette 😃
John Jenkins absolutely makes some of the best armored vehicles in 1/30 scale!
Thank you all again for the kind compliments on my Panzer I vignette. It means a lot 😃
Jason Foote, to answer your question, the tank commander is a War Park figure (AK002) while the walking figure was made by First Legion (DAK008). Both figures are now retired; however, there are still a few...
Some pics of my very compact vignette showing off John’s new Panzer I Ausf. B model, depicting a tank from the HQ Reconnaissance Platoon of the 5th Panzer Regiment, 21st Panzer Division, in North Africa, 1941. This Panzer I Ausf. B model is an entirely new tooling and has noticeable differences...
As a WoT vehicle, this Maus is definitely a what if scheme… Well, technically any Maus model paint job that differs from what was seen on the two prototypes is technically a “what if” scheme because the Maus never saw service.
FL’s description on their site says the Wustenschiff paint scheme...
Let’s hope so, Mike! FL’s description says it’s the biggest 1/30 tank they’ve ever made and with all the add-ons and limited production run, it’s not surprising it costs as much as it does…
Anyone see this yet? First Legion has a new addition to their World of Tanks line: a German Panzer VIII Maus 😎
As it’s a WoT game inspired vehicle, it’s definitely a “what if” model, but looks pretty neat. The price at $565 is pretty steep though… The model is supposedly shipping late...
Panzer Ace, yes, the crew figures in my display are First Legion figures from their TC013 set. The figures are repaints of the TC012 Heer tank crew figures in SS pea-dot camouflage. I am pretty sure the figures in Mike’s diorama are also FL figures, too.
What a fantastic display of one of FL’s best armored vehicles, Mike 😃
The FL NOR091 Normandy Panther G tank is one of my all time favorite 1/30 scale tank models! To me, it just captures the way a Panther should look. I got mine when first released in 2019 and have had it out on display in one...
Awesome pics showing off your extensive TCS vehicle collection, Mark IV! I’ve got a few of those in my collection as well. TCS really had a wide range of vehicles and some innovative features on many models. I also like that they correctly scaled their vehicles to their larger 1/28 scale figures...
