    Jagdpanther Amongst the Trees

Thanks Mike! That’s too bad you never got a JJD Jagdpanther… John did a fantastic job with this model and the winter variant. It’s got the full interior and everything. I got the one pictured in 2018 and it was one of my first 1/30 scale tanks. Thanks Jason! And yeah, real grass wouldn’t have...

    Jagdpanther Amongst the Trees

This display is kind of a study in the use of predominantly natural materials from my yard in the construction of a scene/diorama. In this case, I’m trying to simulate a wooded area or an orchard that has been shelled in a Western European setting. Trees and branches are twigs from a ligustrum...

    Revisiting the Winter M10 Wolverine

I think this is my third variation on this same basic scene featuring First Legion’s excellent winter M10 Wolverine model with the accompanying US Army tank rider and infantry figures. In this version, I’ve rearranged the trees and added a couple more infantry figures to represent the full set...

    Der Zerstörer… Thomas Gunn’s New BF-110 Model

Thanks Rob! I’ve long been a fan of the Danish Modern and Mid-Century modern teak furniture, literally growing up with them at my grandparent’s and parent’s homes. While the trend is technically back in style, it’s a style that never really went away for me, lol! My pieces are all vintage, too!

Der Zerstörer. The Thomas Gunn BF-110 with K&C Luftwaffe Figures

Thank you, Mike and Rob, for the kind comments on my display 😃 My BF-110 is now part of a coffee table display with my Thomas Gunn Bristol Blenheim Mk. IVF heavy fighter model. Both displays make use of K&C Luftwaffe and RAF series figures, which always seem to go best with the Thomas Gunn planes 😎

    Der Zerstörer… Thomas Gunn’s New BF-110 Model

Happy New Year and thank you all for the kind comments on my display 😃 My BF-110 found its current resting place as part of a coffee table display next to my Thomas Gunn Bristol Blenheim Mk. IVF heavy fighter model. It’s a suitable pairing of two aircraft types with similar purposes from the...

Der Zerstörer. The Thomas Gunn BF-110 with K&C Luftwaffe Figures

Thought I would post some pics in this forum as well, given my Thomas Gunn BF-110 display makes heavy use of K&C figures. K&C definitely made the most complete a versatile range of WWII Luftwaffe pilot and ground crew figures and they always pair well with the Thomas Gunn warbirds.

    Der Zerstörer… Thomas Gunn’s New BF-110 Model

Showcasing my newest acquisition from Thomas Gunn’s Wooden Warbirds series - their beautiful Messerschmitt BF-110C 😎 The model represents a BF-110C flown by Hauptman Heinz Nacke that was part of the 6th Staffeln of Zerstörergeschwader 76 (6./ZG 76) when stationed at Abbeville, France, in August...

    Bulge B.A.R. Gunner

Great photos, Duke. Like you, I like the first one best… And as Brian said, I’ve never seen this particular TCS figure before! Is it a new one or old and OOP? Oh, wait, it’s one of the 1/6 scale statues...

    Die Kleinen U-Boote

Thank you, gentlemen, for the kind comments! And Horus, that’s a cool story and jives very much with the dangerous reputation of the German midget subs. The U-Boot Biber, in particular, was renowned for killing its crew and only one Allied ship was ever sunk by the Biber. In a twist of...

    Die Kleinen U-Boote

Great setup Rob! Lots going on there and I see you used the TGM water/seaplane ramp mat as well 😎 I was late in the game on the K&C Kriegsmarine series and one day would love to find the KM015 figure as it makes for a perfect midget sub pilot.

    Die Kleinen U-Boote

Not sure why I never thought to display my German Midget Submarine models on the seaplane ramp display mat from Thomas Gunn, but it works! Below are some simple displays with the Eagle Designs U-Boot Biber model with W.Britain figures and the Eagle Designs U-Boot Molch with some K&C...

    War Park Comparison

ExRanger, generally speaking, K&C vehicles tend to be proper 1/30 scale whereas their figures are closer to 1/28 scale, so their figures are always a little large next to their vehicles. War Park vehicles are also close to 1/30 scale as are their figures. Therefore, in regards to your question...
