I did see one or two there with a few too many fingers for my liking.

My goodness! Did he upset everyone from Down Under?!

    Roman Fort Redux

You have to remember that in 122AD, the average height of a man was a lot shorter than today. Romans were little munchkins by today's lofty standards! The Wallsend reconstruction suggests that they would have been adequately protected.

I don't understand why you would have resisted what with all the fantastic figures already available.

    What happened to.......

I pass in and out of the forum but I always enjoyed reading posts from Mitch, he went against the grain and not always for the sake of it! Does anyone know how he is and if he is still collecting?

    jjDESIGNS 10th ANNIVERSARY

That's how I read it too Bill. It's a shame because looking at the FL figures, it is the Romans that sell and sell fast, the enemies not so well and are still widely available. Purely from a business point of view, if KC are going to make the Romans and JJ the enemies of Rome, I suspect I know...

    jjDESIGNS 10th ANNIVERSARY

Just seen from the KC thread that they are concentrating on the Romans, which is a bit of a blow.

    Roman Fort Redux

The scutum design corresponds with Aeroart's Veleria Victrix figures although there is no evidence from any reliefs or literature that this Legion's scuta looked anything like this. There is nothing for it but artistic licence when it comes to Roman scuta other than the solitary one found in...

    jjDESIGNS 10th ANNIVERSARY

I'm guessing from the horseman this is going to be a late Republic line, which from my point of view is just what I was waiting for! JJ would see this through and ALL the Romans would have their horsehair!!! NO FEATHERS!

Just received my new Centurion and a couple of the new ROM035D's and I am not very happy...............I am ecstatically happy!

    Gunn minatures Jan releases.

From a personal point of view what I would like to see in the Roman Minerva range is a slight variance in some of the helmets. What I liked most about FL's original range is that some of the figures were still wearing the earlier pattern coolus helmets as they would have done as the new Gallic...

    TG Sunderland

This isn't my period at all but the size of that box was astounding! Seriously, how big is that thing? My gob was smacked when I saw that box in comparison with the chair next to it.

    One question for JJD

I pestered John for a Gallipoli range for a good year or two as no one else was doing one and also citing that the Australian collectors market was strong. Hey presto my wish came true and it's a brilliant range in keeping with everything else John produces and I love those figures...

    2017 wish to see

Just one period for me. Done properly and seen through, it would be magnificent. Late Republic.

    Stepping up their game

I know, i know I'm picky! Just to explain my pickiness, the feminalia that the Romans eventually adopted were made of dark red wool, so over time they would have taken on that worn brown appearance that I like! The coloured breeches were more likely to have been worn by auxiliaries but even...

    New Roman Figures

The thing with TG is that they are visibly seeing this range through. The red shield variants are NOT limited to 100 pieces, they are made so long as there is demand for them. I have recently restocked on a couple of their earlier 'red shield' variants. i think potential buyers would want to...
