Just wondered if there would be any interest from FL collectors and indeed any collectors of Roman figures for a 'Mass Battle' range. The only thing I suppose is that Roman sculpts and painting may be too intricate for such a series. Would love a marching Roman series at some point but would...
Thank you for the response Andanna. I love FL's realism and if I'm investing in their new Roman ranges I want to know I am getting accuracy, as far as accuracy is possible. Some of us are just built that way!
Without wishing to upset the powers that be, I have read that white tunics were mainly worn for parade or ceremonial duties and were not worn in the field. Is this correct?
Yes, I have been to Spion Kop too and it holds this sort of eerie ambience much like iSandlwana does on a quiet coach free day! I was also stood on the Kop for the last ever Merseyside Derby before it went to an all seater. That was a very different ambience but no less enjoyable!

I hope one day JJ will venture into this campaign. John seems to like going leftfield compared to other manufacturers and the Second Boer War is, with the passing of time, becoming a forgotten war despite the sheer scale of it. Even a handful of figures for a modest vignette would be a very...
I pestered John about this series and I am so happy it's finally here. Thank you John. Personally I regard these figures to be those coming to grief at The Nek. A base (maybe with trench section) upon which to place them, much like that made for the Sudan range would be ideal.

Thank you Bradley. Shortly after posting one appeared on the First Legion site from nowhere so it's on its way but thank you anyway, that's very kind of you.
My wish is for Conte to become more prolific. But my main wish is an extension of the Imperial Roman line from FL for those of us that failed to see the light soon enough to snap up all of the original figures and are now having to spend oodles and boodles for the hard to find pieces. Nothing...
Unfortunately MM no longer stock this figure. I tried to obtain it from them also but to no avail. As long as Maryann has first dibs on any spare ones out there, I am also looking for this figure (along with 4 others from this range). Came to the Glory of Rome party far too late and trying to...
JJD has certainly cornered both the "landships" and aircraft markets and, in my opinion, unsurpassably so. Therefore there would seem little mileage in producing anything similar other than extremely limited edition products for K&C diehards.
FL's entry into the Great War market is welcome if...
