I got my 7 Carabiniers today via Sierra Toy Soldiers (skipped the one shooting on horse back)
My comments:
1. First of all I bought these because K&C did not produce Carabiniers (same reason why I bought the Polish Lancers)
2. Scale: Matches very well with K&C and Del Prado (I got the Del...
I am disappointed that no GOOSE STEPPING LAH FIGURES are made...
It's their signature move! K&C Glossy used to be goose stepping and I have a set of them, magnificent!
The Collector show Case and Black hawk figures took advantage of the 'Goose Stepping' March but since I am a LOYAL K&C Fan I...
I ve been stupid to give praise to this blue and yellow vehicle although it is totally historically inaccurate as somebody had noted before. This color scheme appeared in the battle of Britain only in the Movie! In reality it appeared near the 1950s and it's glossy not Matt
I was able to observe this when I was thinking if I should buy the collectors showcase Scots Grey...
Does any one know if they match? I know they are similar in scale.
What a Shame! I just realized none of the Scots Grey Cavalry had saddles! They are just sitting on a piece of grey cloth!
I checked out the Del Prado Sgt Ewart, even that one has a saddle!
I got cheated!
Would you post a side by side photo comparing K&C with CS? I think the CS looks more greyish and K&C is matt black. Also CS seems less chunkie and slightly shorter in the photo, am i correct?
Hi
Is there a lack of discussion on the CS Napoleonics?
How about historical accuracy
To start, did anyone get the RHA Train? Any pics?
Do you think the soon to be released French Carabiniers' uniforms are historically accurate? I suppose the guy shooting the rifle on horseback is a...
Just trying to give my perspectives here:
1. Size... they are slightly chunkier than the pervious releases (i.e. recently retired French Line Grenadiers in the pre-1812 uniform). But they blend in well.
I placed mind next to the foot Dragoons... they have similar sizes
K&C never mix well...
Thanks John
But from my references (Osprey, Europa and Rousslet's dictionary), the Grenadier's Shako would have red chords and chervons. There maybe a short battlefield red plume on top of the pompon.
However, the K&C line infantry had a short 'blue' plume surmounted on a red pompon. Any...
The new french line infantry Shako had a RED top band around it. From all the reference photos I don't see a RED band except for the grenadiers.
So do the new line infantry guys belong to the grenadiers and fusiliers?
Thanks
Thanks for clarification of the info. I wish K&C will produce a book with photos and catalogued identifications for each and every figure that was ever designed and produced by K&C. Updated photographs from K&C's HQ in Lockhart Rd would be great! But as I understood, not even K&C has a copy...
I would like to thank this forum for letting me know about two great places in France:
1. Les Drapeaux de France
2. Musée de l'Empéri which is in Salon-en-Provence

I am with you on this thread, I have always wanted more ceremonial figures 1997 HK handover ceremony to China. I participated in the beating retreat farewell parade as a spectator.
How about 1. Royal Navy ceremonial figures and RAF with the Queen's standard?
2. China's PLA re-do (K&C...
