That's the one figure that the tank riders were missing, an MG-42 tank rider. All of them are just armed with rifles or MP-44s. As central as machingeuns were to German infantry doctrine, First Legion should add a tank rider with an MG-42.

Yes, it's due to the different sculptors that do the different figure runs. War Park has this issue too, most of War Parks figures are about the size of the Napoleonic Prussian in your picture compared to First Legion. The War Park figure you bought is one of their smaller ones. First Legion...

The cannon is a separate piece and inserted into the mantlet, so it is not an issue. John just did not notice it when taking the release photos. He's had some other muzzle brakes crooked in pictures, so maybe it's his trademark.{sm4}

I love the subject matter. Can’t get enough of the low boots/gaiters paired with zehltbahns and overcoats. Works perfect from late 1942 to the end of the war scenarios. Britains has been hands down the best at picking themes and poses for WW2 figures. Now do some tank riders with these uniforms!
