News Update April 28, 2025 - Ancient Rome

These look great, more Republican Romans for my Carthaginian Elephants to romp on. I especially like the casualty figures to give the diorama more realism. Dioramas of battle scenes with everyone standing and fighting but nobody is injured or down is not realistic. That is just my opinion. Howard

    Tarrifs

Although I am concerned about Toy Soldier increases my real concern is for Medical Supplies and Pharmaceuticals. We have sent all our know how and manufacturing to China and they have us by the proverbial ying-yang. Hopefully they will knuckle under because we buy 5 to 10 times more imports...

Mass Grave of Roman Soldiers found in Austria

Great article, thanks for sharing. The fighting hand to hand at that time was extremely brutal. It is amazing that more mass graves have not been found. Vienna was the scene of many battles through the centuries and has such a rich history. Howard

British Brown Bess Fire Power: Taking Aim

Hello Mike, It is so refreshing to see you showcase a diorama other than WWII. Don't get me wrong I love all time periods but the Forum has gotten too WWII heavy and needs more diversification like this article. I am personally a Horse and Musket period fan but my father fought in WWII Pacific...

Aircraft Carrier Base Issues. Flight OPS CNX!

I would contact JJD and ask for a fix. It is clearly not a one off problem. I am guessing a 2 part epoxy glue not mixed properly. No telling what the Chinese have as a Quality Control if any. Sorry to hear of your misfortunes, it should have never happened. Howard

    2025 Collectors' Club Figures

Very sad to hear about Doug's passing. I have met him multiple times at the Texas show and always enjoyed talking to him about our hobby. It came as a shock because he always seemed so full of life and I know he was an integral part of the W. Britains family. He will truly be missed for he had a...

    No more Russian Miniatures!

The Russians do make the most beautiful figures in the world in my estimation but I do not collect them because I cannot afford to play with them. The Chinese do an acceptable job and they keep getting better at it for a fraction of the cost. Howard

Kursk’s Aftermath… A WWII vignette featuring the new Panther D Tank

Beautiful display and the Panther was the star of the show, they just did not have enough of them. It is hard for me to visualize the size and intensity of the Battle of Kursk. It will always be a fascination of military buffs for all time. Thanks for the photos. Howard

New Releases for December 2024 - The Ancients

The Celtiberian Scutari are bad butt. They were Hannibal’s best troops in my opinion. Great job on these figures. Howard
