John and Pauline came over to my place to inspect the troops. All were standing to attention and didnt dare to move. We had a great time together and shared some stories. I certainly came away with a few ideas for further exploration. They are now traipsing all over Vietnam. Safe and enjoyable...

I took out this piece and redid the archi elements to better reflect the visual perspectives. Also gathered up all the pieces to date to work on them.

Finished the drapery on Caligula. Gave him sandals. Will correct some minor errors later.

Went to another round of this monthly meet. Mostly steampunk and scifi. I brought along my Franco-Prussian War shadowbox. Rgds Victor

I rearranged and cleaned up more sections. The show pieces are on the upper shelves at eye level. The incomplete pieces are at the lower shelves. The tudor period is more or less done. Louis XIV and Louis XV/Seven years war has been grouped into two shelves. Some overlaps are inevitable here...

So here's another poorly knocked up fig, mostly hidden and just behind the Major with the shako rouleax in the ptg. The figs get progressive worse as I carry on. It must be the weather...hahaha.

Hi Paddy, Thx for your kind remarks. The sculpt is excellent. There a few minor anomalies for me to check and correct. Here's the simple start so far.

I painted these figs. Fixed a couple of the hobby horse figs to the back of the bkgd figs.

I reworked the Fig and drapery here.

Further developing more figs in the bkgd. Some are becoming hobby horse figs. That's right - this is a first for toy soldier designs. Im claiming a patent for this.... hahaha.

Ive posed all the figs into a shadowbox to test the size.

Ive pinned these figs together as per the ptg. Still got to add the details.

Speed ptd these with acrylics. Will have to further detail them.

Finished reburbishing this figure.

Finsihed the refurbishment. I paired it with the kettledrummer and painted both gases in matching colour.

Added scabbards, slings, bits and reins here and there. All painted and almost done with these figs. Got a few more bkgd figs to add.
