    Mycenean woman

Using my drill, I sanded down the hips carefully. I animated the head and left hand and added legs. These will have to be enlarged.

    Mameluke trumpeter

Made a start of the lace and trousers. Will let it dry and sculpt some areas. Some of my early work was a bit rough. So I have to go back and redo areas.

    Mycenean woman

Hi Paddy, me too....hahaha. I snipped off the loong legs and added putty for the skirt. The pix shows some pitting. I have already polished the figure with a drill metal brush. Will also change the upper torso pose.

    Claudius

I'm sculpting a toga for him. Apparently a sickly child, he wasn't given a proper adult initiation ritual with a toga. This would have had him wearing a tunic before the toga wrapping ceremony.

    Claudius

Several years back,, I noticed that an old Andrea casting and thought that it would be suitable for a fig of Claudius. The Andrea head is quite small, early 1/35 size and with sculpted ears, would prob look like a young sickly boy. Been reading up on Claudius and he appeared to be somewhat...

    mongol drummer

Just realised that this spare torso was taken from a fig of the Atuatuci tribe, from my collection.

    Faces

Simple groundwork added to the base. No plans to include the stone lion. These are sold as pairs. So I am just using it as a prop for this pix. Haahaha.

    Murat

Sculpting the right hand. Taking my time on this new phase of my work. No point in rushing things as I try to develop my skills further.

    Mycenean woman

I am trying to think of what to do with this rather nicely sculpted bare breasted fantasy figure but I dont like the pose. So I'll convert it to a Mycenean woman with bodice and flounced skirts. This way, I can preserve the best bits of this figure while giving it some historical context.

    Faces

I decided to do this as a vignette piece. So I will have to sculpt and paint all round the figures. I selected a suitable base with oriental features to create a tight grouping for these figures.

    Some Horses

Notice the reworked horse front leg. For the fig, I chopped off the vestigial arms and lower torso. Will marry the preiser legs to the muscled cuirass. Really enjoying myself going thru my ancient books and mags to check out early Roman armour.

    mongol drummer

Eureka! while working on my Mokarex Amborix fig, I substituted the original Amborix head and torso, thus leaving me with this well sculpted head which looked perfect for my Mongol drummer. So A quick surgery and I have a new figure!

    Cafe Storme Mokarex figures

I added wire arms to Commius. I restored Amborix but since it has already been cut up, decided to change the head and arm poses as well to resemble the famous statue of him. What did I do with the lefover head and torso?... see another thread......

    Merkava

I removed the base from this Mokarex figure. Also readjusted her left hand. Now posing her on the chariot and toying with using her to represent Boudicca.
