The Kansu Braves showed up to the Boxer Rebellion armed with swords, spears, and sheer determination... The British showed up with Maxim guns and tea. Guess who ran out of supplies first? (Hint: it wasn’t the ammo.)

What were these poor souls thinking, charging in with swords and spears against Maxim guns and rifles? Brave for sure… but not exactly a winning strategy!
