Can you help Identifying my soldiers?

Lionel usually had square bases and Hauer/Elastolin usually had oval bases. So I would think the flag bearer and prone figures are the latter.

    King & Country book

Wadepat, good points - Perhaps the the sponsors could consider a multi volume set, with each being able to stand alone. Vol 1 being a general history, with longer text passages, anecdotes, photos of key figures, dioramas, and explaining how KC fits into the general toy soldier/military miniature...

    King & Country book

Good idea to talk to Norman Joplin since he's just finished his latest Britains book. Was Cavendish or Schiffer publishers contacted directly? Hope it works out, since I collect all such books.

    Humidity & lead figures?

Sure am. I don't have display cases yet and all my vintage are in boxes. I'll read that article again, thanks. Do you know what the ideal humidity levels should be in the meantime until I can get them displayed? The levels has been as high as 65%, so am getting a bit worried. I don't want to...

    Britains "Eyes Right"

I have some still boxed that I've had since I was a kid. I agree that they do not seem to deteriorate. I have some Herald highlanders that have been "bleeding" some white fuzz. I've put Eyes Right purchases on hold as I more interested in the vintage lead and new metal Britains, but I haven't...

    Tim Kubicek of RC2/W.Britain

Thanks Richard, good to know what's up. Why couldn't First Gear produce the farm series? I look forward to the matt book, once you decide to publish. Maybe you can do a special set with it also. I'm already on Norman's list for a signed copy. Keep up the good work.

    Durbar Collection

Here's my elephants! It took me 7 months to get them all, once Dave, Vamp and the others got me hooked on the Delhi Durbar series. I think I recall Ken or someone saying that Britains will be returning to the Durbar series sometime - hopefully soon.

    How Many Collect Old Britains

I would like to vote again in the new re-vamped poll(s). Perhaps there should be a general one, as outlined below, and then more detailed ones on boxed sets, periods, military/civilian etc?

    NewWilliam Britain Wikipedia

Craig, Good idea, I suggested something similar to WBritains over a year ago but I think they are too busy at the moment to improve their website, given they now have more figures and more catalogues. Thus, any assistance you can give would be most appreciated by all. Norman Joplin's is...
