I buy any soldier books I can get - hopefully it will be not much more than $100, with good quality pages and lots of photos. Schiffer Books and Cavendish have done good ones for Norman Joplin, mostly on Britains.
RC2/W.Britain Farm?
What still confuses me is that RC2 still seems to be selling the farm items under the Britains name, including producing catalogues.... Richard/Ken can you enlighten us?
Reservist infantry officer - the Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's), Victoria, BC, Canada, and 2 years with Reg Force at National Defence HQ, Ottawa - all the time was spent training or paper-pushing, no deployments :(
Dave et alia Durbar collectors,
EBay has a Britains 8848 elephant at a low start right now, closing in about 3 days.
I was luckily able to get another recently so I won't be bidding. I now have all 4 elephants.
I am unable to find the catalogue link starting at the homepage? I assume its in resources, but can't find it? I see the link at the begginning of the thread but how do I get there from the home page? Also, where is Geoff Duin, ROAN's, link?
A good idea, at least once the Petitcoat series gets established, then it could branch out and look at Women at war generally, such as famous spies. Back to Rosie, she could be matched with a First Gear military truck.
That sounds like the best first move. Try it and see what happens, its worth the effort. I agree that selling it piece by piece would be a hassle. Good luck.
In the absence of more info, I believe its to do with the major tooling required for die-cast, moving parts etc. Apparently, it's not cost-productive - at least that's the case for the plastic range I'm told.
