    Britains Collectors Club...

Andrew, I do recall some Brits that came out for the 50th anniversary of D-Day which I think were available to members only for purchase. I don't think the "free" with membership figure was ever from the World Wars.

    Britains Art of War Series

Dave, I wouldn't be surprised if Norman Joplin already has all the lists done for his new book, since its supposed to cover 1983 --2003 at least, with photos. Maybe after publication, something could be extracted from that?

Any Toy Soldier shops on the West Coast?

London soldier/antique shops Thanks for the suggestions. I will check all these. Does anyone know any antique or markets that for older figures? I have been told about "Camden Arch" that has an antique market but I don't know where it is or what figures or manufacturres would be there. Also...

Any Toy Soldier shops on the West Coast?

Bob, I'm attempting to arrange for my office to send me to London, UK, for a work-related conference at the same time as the 1 Dec show. While I'm there, I would like to check the toy soldier shops for old and new figures. Can you give me a run down of the London shops? Since I don't get to...

    Britains Art of War Series

Dave, Your list(s) should be posted on the Britains website hyper-linked to photos. Maybe you can use your position convince Richard. When will we have an on-line database of all new Britains figures produced since 1973 (since 1893 would be the ideal...)?

25th Anniversary Limited Edition Set Ideas

I like the idea of building on past traditions, previous Collectors Club or other lines, so glossy and ceremonial figure(s), sets, or carriages would be great. What about releasing the set, or a set, with Norman Joplin's new Britains book set to release in 2008? Similar to Opie's Great Book of...

just out of curiosity, how many ex-military out there?

I was 5 years in the Canadian Forces - Canadian Scottish Regiment. 3 years with the unit wearing a kilt on parade or combats in training - then 2 years at National Defence HQ wearing trews and commanding nothing but a desk. Had no time for it when I started a career as a civil servant - good...

    2007 Club Figure

Richard, Good to know what the situation is. This will be a little confusing in future, once the figures hit the secondary market, especially it they don't have a box. Perhaps you could consider stamping the year of issue instead of manufacture for the Club figures or even all figures? Great...

    Built-in display case progress

Beautiful! Something I am dreaming about for my future basement finishing. I recall hearing about some woods are not good for metal figures and books, I think it was oak. Anyone know?

    Need help finding.....

An authority on the Russian Front is John Erikson, who has at least one book on the battle as well as other general ones. Anthony Beevor has a one in paperback that should be available at your local book store. Any good library should have these as well as others. Some good movies on the epic...

    2007 Club Figure

I received my 2007 Club figure a few days ago. Its the highlander at the ready from the "Thin Red Line" painting. I'm impressed with the paint and detail. However, the bottom of the base has "2006" on it as well as some other number. Anybody know why the year is wrong? Although they were...
